i would usually take your side on things like this but that post was so bizarre and unprovoked that i can understand why it was changed. it wasn't really offensive, but pretty

the problem here : (not really even a problem, just a situation)

not everyone has english as their first language, not everyone actually speaks english day to day and learns the nuances of humor and tone and everything else that DOESNT come across in a post.

not cutting anyone up, there's really no reason this forum should be in the english language (apart from people like me, whose only other language is emmanuelese)

but bottom line, it's hard to detect whether it was a joke or not; to me it clearly is because i know the tone of the writing in your post, but for someone who wasn't used to hearing jokes in english, it could easily be misconstrued as an attack. i've heard humor is the last part of a language that people generally learn, as it relies on tone and colloquialisms that people new to the language may not be aware of.

pro tip : use "" to say when you're joking.
