some questions are imo unclear.
example:
First-generation immigrants can never be fully integrated within their new country.
a) "it does not work"
b) "it would cause problems to do so"

others are biased imo.
example:
Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers.
replace "homemakers" with "care for the children and raise them" and some people would answer different?

Still doesn't really reflect my views, but better than before I suppose.

Economic Left/Right: -1.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.59

Yeah, apparently not strongly agreeing/disagreeing on all but 2-3 questions means I'm a mellow centrist. :/

I thought I'd be somewhat more to the right, but whatever.

That puts me about +0.4 away from Obama's pre-election positions on economics, and about -5 on social stuff, which makes sense to me.

I think it's interesting, that hardly any politicians of note come from that quadrant (right bottom). We're all apolitical or feel too disenfranchised by the traditional Left / Right political coalitions to bother, apparently. That, or there just aren't a lot of us.

It seems that I'm a bit of a centrist. I've been reading a fair bit of Niall Ferguson lately, perhaps that has had an influence. The last time that I did it it put me significantly more to the left and authoritarian.

In short - "You cannot do everything without someone pointing the finger and we need to help each other a bit."

Being in center with an authority to the middle at max seems right to me. Not like Hitler who took over almost all jobs even though he couldn't do em. No one can do them all. Except "I am weasel!"! :D

So many anarchists? No taxes = No police and medical care. No one will do those jobs for free you know! Well police wouldn't be needed if we were peace loving hippies though!

TBH.
I have no idea if I'm economically right or left..
From the little i know i think that at different times a different approach is necessary

The logical moral.

That all humanity is equal, no exceptions for gender or sexuality or race or religion.

I'm not realistically an anarchist, the test equates personal freedom concepts with a lack of government.

Anarchists? What? Left in economic axis means much more state control and more taxes.

Who is talking about no taxes? Most people so far are left wingers according to that test.

Wow, in 6 years I went from hippie to more or less what Cartman thinks of hippies.

I used to be much more right wing.

Im turning to left side of economic axis as i get older.

I would say that hippie philosophy is just corelated with personal freedoms and not with economic (with vertical axis only). But not even that.. hippies represent many things completely outside/unrelated to what this compas tries to measure.

In that im becoming more liberal too over time I think.

The test is biased. I know this because it puts me left, when I am not even slightly left.

This often happens because people born and raised on the left don't actually know much about the "right", equating it solely to "social reactionary".

Another really interesting thing is that there are a bundle of questions that do track pretty much to traditional "left-right" division but don't track well to this chart.
