Angel, to be clear; it was working before I installed it; then I installed Office 2007 Ultimate and ran all the updates, and then it no longer worked. After uninstalling Office 2007 (I used System Restore since Win7 kept giving me the 'this program may not have uninstalled correctly...' message), 0.50 worked fine again.
My conclusion was that Office 2007 or one of its updates somehow broke it. I have not tried reinstalling it and running TASClient without running the updates to see if it still works / will break it again.

I'm on Windows 7 Professional X64, and I just got this popup when trying to launch a brand new install of Spring .80.2 TASClient.
This OS install is maybe two weeks old and has never had an installed version of Spring on it. I grabbed
http://sourceforge.net/projects/springr ... e/download from the download page, installed TASClient with it, and it doesn't launch.

I just installed .80.2 a couple of hours ago and have been in probably 4 or 5 games without any issues. The only thing I changed during install was I deselected "springlobby" in the installer (can't stand that lobby :-/ ).
Win7 x64 OS partition.

new version uploaded to remove the deprecated unitsync functions :
http://tasclient.licho.eu/TASClientLatest.7z
(i also removed the relay hosting until tizbac enables hosters to forcequit their own games)
and, im not sure but the new unitsync version could fix the vista/seven/office problems (just a feeling based on a breakpoint in ntdll that appeared with the 0.79 unitsync and disapeared with the latest one)

When I updated to .80.2 I got this message when opening TASClient:
"TASClient.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point GetLuaAIName could not be located in the dynamic link library UnitSync.dll. "
I downloaded the newest version from
http://tasclient.licho.eu/TASClientLatest.7z and extracted that file to my Spring-folder (I got few error messages from 7-zip like "Unable to delete folder -something-"). When I opened TASClient again, I got that same error, so it didn't help.

I have windows vista 32-bit.

Hi guys,
GREAT!!! the aug 23th version of TASclient does resolve the GetLuaAIName issue.
Just one thing: you need set the rights of the files to be overwritten correctly and disable the write protection of the extracted files. Otherwise these files can't be moved, even though windows asked for replacing the old ones.
I clearly vote for TASClient!!! Big big thanks go to Satirik!!!
