My knowledge of coding ends at "it shoots, stuff dies", so I guess that makes me a regular player. :) I do agree that a great many active people, especially on the forum, seem to know every intricate detail of Spring coding. Makes it a little daunting sometimes.

The abundance of mods, although it is a very nice concept, also dilutes the player base quite a lot. If we all played the same stuff, there would be more games and action.

I would refer you
here. Tl;dr, Spring players aren't a zero-sum game, people play multiple mods. The playerbase isn't diluted (much), but it
does allow more variety.

The abundance of mods or games? because I don't think either is true.
spring is not 1 game.
