Agreed, screenshot is better, the logo is way too bright and eye catching for a banner. What ever happened to that screenshot on the old taspring screenshot page that showed a huge zoomed out battle (showing the whole map) on deltasiege dry - that would work well, I think

Spring is an engine, the miscategorization of it as a game should be addressed soon. There are both games and mods on the engine at present, Imperial Winter is a game.

Ideally we wouldn't have a "spring game" but we do because you're not allowed to be a mod of an engine, you have to be a mod of a game. So rather than BA being a mod of TA, it's a mod of spring, and so forth.

why arent engines and games seperated in commercial games?
The resemblance on other fronts are there too.

Because only professionals buy engines without games.

Yeah, it would be preposterous to consider every rebalance of the AA unit set a "game".

So it is a place for *Annihilation mods...
There are 5 mods attached to it.. four of which are not *A mods.
Suggesting to jump those four mods and related downloads to Spring Engine(though that probably has to be asked to the owners). Hmm.. Final Frontier is also attached to TA IP a bit so that has to stay!
Also renaming "Spring" game to TA:Spring.
And rewriting the description to something short as "TA:Spring contains Spring Engines games which use Total Annihilation Content."

Final Frontier was a TA mod. A TA unit pack even. Much less work was done converting it to a Spring mod than doing TA:FF in the first place.
"Epic Legion" and "Expand & Exterminate" could be Spring "game".
The two Epic Legion should be merged.
The two FF should be merged (I'd say deleted but that may just be my personal bias)
Spring 0.76b1 and Expand and Exterminate 1.63 are greatly outdated, (for Final Frontier and Epic Legion I don't know).
So, yeah just erase
that page and all its children!

I nolonger agree to that!
What if Noize decides to advertise BA on moddb or CA team decides to do it?

For me personal Spring project is Total annihilation 2 in many ways.
Well were basically only missing the rights to call us that.

Good for you.
Mut I'm gonna stop right here, because even though you are just begging to get trolled, I don't feel like winding up the moderation team.

Why should we make a place for the *A content on ModDB at all? It has no viability there, it makes the engine look pretty bad at this point.

They are not a mod of anything, they are a ported mod that has dubious content. Ba IS a mod of AA but frankly that sort of project doesn't belong on moddb.

Well ok. Then it has no use on moddb!
SwiftSpear can you ask the devs of moddb to relocate Epic Legions, Tower Defence and Expand & Exterminate as games of the Spring Engine if it's in your power otherwise do we need to send about 5-10 PM's to the devs to do it?
Lets get rid of that confusion once and for all!
Sorry if I sound bossy it is just that I have no power on that "Spring" Game.
[Edit] Forgot to add smoth's TD

Also, give more people access, like me. I can check on the relevance from month to month.

Seems kinda wrong to exclude the *A mods from the moddb page, sort of like sticking your head in the sand and hoping they'll go away. They won't - they're an integral part of Spring and part of what keeps it's momentum going. When people look into Spring, it seems kinda wrong to say that Spring is all about independent games such as PURE and IW and all that - it's not (atleast, not entirely), the main player base of Spring is *A games, and that's on of the main things that keeps it being played and improved.
I also think that links to TA, whilst seemingly shifting in esteem in this community to become some sort of pariah, are not a bad thing. Spring lets you play a descendent of TA in full 3D with hundreds of units with spectacular explosions and effects. That's awesome. That's an integral part of what Spring is. It should be on the moddb page.
Just my opinion though, I'm not calling anyone out here or trying to start a flamewar (which I have no intention of carrying out). Whatever happens on the moddb page, either way I win

The blue serves many purposes, if not to frame the red logo and thus bring balance to it, but to serve as an artistic tool. I just haven't used the blue very much to that effect.
The red white and blue is also psychological ;] It also helps make it more obvious that the varients are variants of the spring logo and not random icons on a red gradient, so more consistency.
The blue was also intended as a means of generating another site design which would be much much prettier than this one or the one I'd managed, it made the logo much easier to manipulate and do creative artwork with. That collage image I put up would never have been possible without the blue border or itd just look like lots of white shapes on a red canvas

warlord, keeping them there makes it harder for us to move away from it. I see no reason that they should be kept on moddb and keeping that there is just making spring look worse.

I think the ModDB page should be renamed to SpringRTS if that's the name we're finally settling on. I also think we should make sure all Spring videos on Youtube are tagged SpringRTS.

spring is the name, not springrts.
