As i suspected, USA is very unsafe place violence vise. Actually person has 3 times more chance to get murdered in usa than in my country.

Most people who hate or fear guns have never been around them. It is a matter of fact that a lot of retards do not respect guns for their destructive potential. Also the united states is the birth ground of hip-hop culture which consists of some of the most idiotic gun brandishing and lack of self control.

Don't generalise people's opposition to guns to be down to lack of experience.

I have experience in the use of shotguns, and have fired a rifle a few times.

America is in the position where banning guns would just be politically non-viable. This does not mean its a good idea to make them publicly available.

Banning guns would also be against our constitution as well. According to our constitution, us as individuals have the duty to overthrow our government if it stops representing the people. We are not so much a democracy as we are a republic, and our founding fathers set things up for limited government. Lately, government has been growing at a breakneck pace (no thanks to clinton, bush, and obama), and obama is making a very fast dive for socialism, and it is very alarming to many of us considering that it violates our constitution.

@otherside: Doesn't this prove that regardless of the country's gun laws, that doesn't stop anything? If a criminal wants a gun, a criminal is going to get a gun, it's not rocket science.

Regardless, concerning what smoth said, yes America is the birthplace of the hip-hop culture, and that accounts for 95% of the homicide rate here in KC. It's black people killing black people. Idiots will do what idiots will do. Most of the people getting killed and doing the killing are poorly educated and living in the projects. "Minority" on "minority" crime accounts for prolly around 90% of homicide rates. Most of it being gang related.

@carrepairer: I hate KC (specifically KCMO) I miss LA and San Diego (where I'm originally from), but to be able to move back out there, I would essentially need to find a job before I moved and meh. Someday I'll go back.

Synopsis: drop a nuke on KCMO. No one will miss it.

Regarding Germany, it's not real shocking that this happened. A crazy person is a crazy person. They are all over the world, and just cause your government bans something doesn't mean that it is suddenly unavailable.

@pintle: Same thing. If you make them "Not publicly available" is that going to stop the criminals from having them? No. It does a wonderful job of keeping them out of law abiding citizen's hands though.

Yeah I should have been clearer: Banning handgun ownership in the USA is not going to happen in the forseeable future, not much point discussing it here.

Your constitution grants you no right to guns, or weapons. Only bear arms.
