Hmmm. what about scaling the ranks between all the persons in the room? So, the dude with highest playtime would be veteran, and lowest would be newbie.
Or a mod could define how many minutes you need to be above newbie (so it wouldnt declare anyone as newbie, if they have played enough).
Im against any custom icons for mods ranks.
we dont need them, it would only make it harder to understand how experienced someone is.

Im more of the opinion we should use raw minutes rather than ranks and use rank icons for trophies or literal ranks handed out.

I reckon you should be able to see people's time in game and win/loss ratio, that you should be able to break this down further by mod, and that autobalance should consider these factors - in a mod specific fashion - first and foremost.

as soon as I get around to working on the server again (right now I'm extremely busy with work, school, social life...)...
I mainly need to finish the SQL code... make a simple unit test for it... the server has been fairly ready for a few months, otherwise.

tags bundled with the mod would not be flexible, especially if you need to share ranks across two different versions of a mod and the two versions have different values for minutes<->rank

Dudes, we dont need supadupahypa systems. all we need is just for each mod their own ranks.
no need to care about versions >_>
I would be totally supadupahypa happy if we had __even__ that feature.
