This is a reference to Pirates of Caribe 2... a Kraken is a creature like that, that is, something like a gigant and very ugly octopus.

It's also a unit in uberhack, and you probably couldn't slash it dead with a sword since it's a floating pop-up plasma cannon.

I though it was a world-level consensus that only things with tentacles could be called Kraken... oh well...

Lucasarts prooved that one single Part can succesfull conquer the world - so never cut them off the head, who keeps them busy with each other, excpet you take them on a pizza del Mare, so they will be fried for good taste

Joke aside, Kraken are said to be more intelligent than dolphins (which doesen´t say much, Dolphins are pretty dumb, besides having culture, and a nice social structure, but trust me on this one) and i don´t like my food cleverer then myself, so i try to avoid them...

Indeed octopus are freaking intelligent, they say that if they could emit sounds to comunicate they would already have formed an underwater civilization by now :)
