The map rating system is arguably not the domain of the lobby server.

Currently tasclient is the only lobby that implements map grades, and as such it is satiriks responsibility as maintainer not aegis' to maintain that feature.

Nonetheless theres nothign stopping you aegis from 'deprecating' the feature.

While I totally agree that a map rating system would be better implemented separately, possibly as joint venture between certain lobby teams and certain map hosting website teams, your second statement doesn't really make sense to me.

The amount of implementations coded against a particular interface has nothing to do with who's responsibility it is to maintain it.

At best, it's satirik responsibility to convince aegis to keep the feature, if satirik wants to keep it and aegis thinks about dropping it. This convincing could of course be done by offering to implement the feature in uberserver or w/e, but the responsibility to maintain such implementation does definitely not transfer automatically based on who is using the feature.

in uberserver's current state, map grading is fully deprecated and the commands only return the minimum amount of information to make tasclient happy

map rankings should be jsonrpc/xmlrpc/http based, just like the ladders are now; lobby server support should be dropped, it's not worth it. +1 for removing this feature in its current form and +1 for recreating this completely separately.

Separate partitions would be nice so for example, I'm a gold star and if I joined lets say, a " Gold star room " all the games hosted in that room would be only gold star games and so on.

This would make for great balanced and would prevent smurfs, and other issues.
Maybe even rooms for different situations so the #k channel could only show games hosted by people int he #k channel etc etc.

Also, again, Satirik, please make it possible to select multiple players with shift and ctrl in the battle window.

I never have problems, exept when tasclient is open, it's not slow, but has lag periods, also tasclient makes other games crash.

Like revenge, i would LOVE the ability to sort maps and list them by recommended player number. I have a moderately large collection of maps, and I can never remember how many players fit on each. It makes deciding on what map to switch to really tedious.
