solar? wtf. solar makes constantly same rate of energy... i dont want my windmills act like that.
why cant you just remove that stupid feature ? it has no real benefit, nobody barely even notices it, and its not even realistic when it tries to be realistic.

It's perfectly realistic to have output drop while it turns...
And as far as facing different directions, blame the mod-masters for using Cavedog cobs when units can be turned.

Not really a good argument. Say wind min/max is 20. If the wind speed/direction takes 40 mins to change from 20 east to 20 west, then the wind speed is beween 1 and 0 for 2 mins.
Maybe the map needs another prarameter for the speed at which wind direction changes take place, or the way in which they take place needs to be changed, to bound final speed to >= min.

i dont care is it realistic or not, it has only annoying effect, thats all it does.

But does the wind itself do that in spring? I had been under the impression the wind changed instantly but the windmills needed some time. Maybe not, considering the case of reversal...

iirc the wind direction changes instantly, but the *animation* (which has no effect on the energy output of the windmill btw) takes some time.

Then why ive seen my windmills +3.2 energy output on speedmetal for like 30 secs? the min and max are 30 in that map...

I've had this sory of bug before - my wind farm was producing nothing for at least 30 secs. Was on a 'normal' map too, so not just a speedmetal issue. Guess it's some weird engine bug.
