Well in my rage I have come up with some brilliance that I think will fix the issues at hand. IMO nowhere near as nice as the current system, but I suppose I gotta do what I gotta do.

Either way, going by absolute paths is asking for trouble - even expecting the lua to be aware whether the mod is located in an SDD or SDZ seems silly. Shouldn't it just be simply access to the current package (and any packages it references)? Having widgets walking around in the directory tree seems wrong-ish.
Of course, this problem is already probably long-since solved and just the documentation is too opaque or non-existent for us mortals to grasp.

considering the widget is in the sdd... It's not much to ask.
