The chicken flying unit is still very large in comparison to the largest flying dinsoaurs, and at that size taking off and landing requires a very large cliff to get off the ground, and no tree could ever survive them.

you know the scale in spring isn't that big, just look at the trees.

I don't see what the whole argument of scale is about...its a 10 second job to resize a model in upspring...

Im just saying theres no point modelling a bird when 2 doublesided triangle faces are more than enough and any model at the correct scale will be indistinguishable.

I'm wondering if it could be as simple as doing 3 plane objects, 2 triangles is a bit skimpy and you might lose the shape and body of the birds.
Wings should be rectangles as they need to be fairly wide spanned.
Make 2 for the wings so you can script them to flap, and 1 for the body, then apply alpha to the wings and body.
That way they could end up being 6 triangles per :D and you could do a whole flock of them, or murder if they're crows

Dammit, now I have to get off my lazy butt and finish that code
Nice gulls, just about exactly what I wanted, frankly. Gotta sleep now, but they'll be flying by tomorrow night, if I want to keep on schedule.
