Hey, instead of muting anyone or having an auto-mute filter, why not build something into the lobby/lobby protocol that just bleeps out the expletive in the message. That's what I've seen in most commercial games I've played. Either that, or you could go really anal and not even let messages containing said content be transmitted.

Believe it or not there are numerous players who do not want anything to change, especially not the tasclient + tasserver combo and thus completely ignore the competition when it suits them.
