I think I count as agnostic (under the PROPER definition, not this butchered "contrarian theist" one) because I think the question whether there is a god is silly as there is nothing to even pose the question other than a few unreliable texts that could just as well be completely made up.

BTW, about that t0 talk there: Some theories suggest that time started with the big bang, as such any question "what came before the BB" is stupid as there is no "before the BB".

Im just curious, altough I just noticed that atheist and agnostic are pretty much the same thing wich means that there is no point in deciding between one. So the matter is just if you have a religion or not :)

Oh, and If you believe in afterlife or not. That makes a lot of difference :)

people seem to believe it only applies to "God" but such a notion gets really old because it comes from Christian dominated culture.

A theist is someone who believes in the existence of any god. Diests, monotheists, and polytheists are all theists. They have different opinions as to the nature of the god or gods they believe in. They are all still theists however.

An agnostic is someone who does not "believe" in God... but either believes that the existence of god is possible, or just does not care to form an opinion one way or another.

An atheist is someone who does not believe in any god or gods at all. They believe that no god or gods exist, and the existence of such things is not possible.

An agnostic does not believe in God... an atheist believes in no God.

It's really that simple, if you think about it.
