The trick is to pick attractive and sane, and then... remove... the existing boyfriend.

What? It works! All the best women are taken... so take one back.

I'm mostly kidding. Mostly.

I guess most people here have fullfilling Relationships, so they have no need or urge to talk about the subject, and if not there are Pyros & Nukes in Spring who are hot and heartwarming for the lonely :)

So talking remains to Threads like this, filled with Relationoobs ;)

So because i always wanted to say that to somebody else: ;)
Get real !

I'm married and about to have a daughter... I'd just rather not think about women when I'm in here... I get enough of them at home... not to mention my mom driving my wife crazy and her always complaining about her girlfriends etc... don't need to talk about them here unless I'm complaining about my wife which I tend to do IRL with my Real People friends.

Yes close this, it offends Smoth and therefore offends me by proxy. Besides I think we've had about 20 of these.

So, since we're talking about women, I have a question for you guys. Do the things women do and wear actually make them more attractive in your eyes or are they just victims of the media?

What I mean is, if a girl is wearing makeup all the time, honestly I'd stay away because I'm afraid of what she'd look like without it. What's she got to cover up? Also high heels. I can't imagine they're comfortable, and they make feet become all distorted and nasty after a while. It's also bad for the back. Hmm... lipstick. It does nothing for me at all. And painted nails. Maybe if they were constantly maintained, but the stuff cracks and falls off after like 20 minutes and it just looks ugly.

So in my opinion, the entire cosmetics industry could disappear and I'd be happier for it. What do you think?

On the other hand, certain things I couldn't live without. If a girl had hairy legs, that would be the end, that's horrendous.

Also, clothes. Am I the only guy who is more attracted to a girl with self-respect than to some scantily clad bar wench?

You're like the Exile, you influence those around you. You're a shining beacon of hope, Smoth. A radiant light in a swamp of questionable fashion sense. The sword piercing to the truth in a world of lawlessness. You're like a ranger on a quest for his peoples' freedom, never looking back, always pressing on despite the odds. With a wry grin you swindle the swindlers, and with a bold face you charge into battle with those who would otherwise bring untold ruin unto the land. Your appearance emboldens your allies while breaking the will of your enemies. To know you is to love you, and to love you is to know peace.

Yes, I have witnessed purity of spirit, and its name is Smoth.

Felix, the gender binary is a lie.

If nothing else, during early dating it shows you a lot about a person's personality, their taste (or lack thereof) and their take on a lot of topics that ultimately concern you.

I've always gone to a first "real date" with a tie on and at least a sportcoat, since I was maybe 23 or so. A woman's reaction to that, especially if they're told what's going to happen in advance and met me dressed more casually before, is very revealing, imo.

Cuts a lot of the crap, frankly- if they arrive on time and dressed at least as well as you can manage, then you know a lot about who they are, whether or not she's a hottie in the latest fashion, or a homely gal dressed in her business best- you know she recognized that you were going to spend the time to look good for her, and her reaction will tell you a lot about her real personality.

If she arrives late, inappropriately dressed, or clearly is pissed that you made them get girly... well, that may or may not change your decision to date, but you've sure learned a lot about her as a person. There are other ways to do this kind of thing, but that's an easy one, and it's hard for anybody to wriggle out of.

as usual Argh proves he is incapable of writing less than 3 paragraphs that nobody will read about any subject, and making it all about him while he's at it.
