I can vouch for DreamHost, I run spring installer mirror + another mirror (fpsbanana), I'm using 1tb/mo now, no throttles or anything.

It's great...

Btw if you want to "connect" your mirror to P2P system let me know. Central tracker just needs a way to translate spring hash to file name on your server.
There are several ways to do it.

Well your mirror is already connected that way :)
From day one..

is used by tracker to determine file from hash :)

Can someone upload a script somewhere that does this that we can edit rather than us all pestering each other for it?

Well there is not yet a script which extracts hash from sdz or sd7 directly. TradeMark was working on it, but im not sure if its done or not.
I only have tool which extracts it for files in your spring folder using unitsync.

Examples of unacceptable material on all Shared and Reseller servers include:

IRC Bots, Proxy Scripts / Anonymizers, Pirated Software / Warez, image, filedump, mirror, or banner-ad services (similar to rapidshare, photobucket, or commercial banner ad rotation), topsites, [...]
It's not a filedump because they're being downloaded constantly. It's also more download site than mirror, especially when you consider just how many of those maps are Forb's.

Forboding Angel wrote:Tbh I really don't see it happening, however even so, with the ca downloader mixing http with torrent, prolly not a big deal. I just was trying to say in this thread that if you wanted to make the lobby dl maps auto, then do it. I don't care.

Even if there were 20 gb of downloads per day, I would still only be using 10% of my total alloted bandwidth (unless I really screwed up some math).

Alternatively, if I don't use it for some purpose such as this, then what's the point of me paying for a massive server that i don't need? I can get 5 gigs of space from insanegb which is a billion times more than I would ever need just for evolution.

I would rather that the server be actually used for something. I have issues paying for something and then never using it.
You do realise that to use 5TB in a month your site will throttle whatever servers your on? They will cancel your account, don't risk losing your own website.

Thats true. Never Occurred to me.

@cleric:
If it was posing a significant financial drain on me I might be more inclined to care. As it isn't, I don't.
