To explain - let's say you won 3 battles. One a month ago, one two weeks ago, and one today. The one a month ago will get divided by like, lets say, 8. One two weeks ago by 4. One today 1. So older battles weight less, newer more.
This eliminates the problem of a really good player going dormant - eventually his points will be dropping.

Oo, nice idea.
So (having skimmed the thread):
Will this give us rankings viewable in the lobby?
Will the star system come to depend on skill rather than time served?
Will statistics be drawn from all games played through the lobby or only those on certain hosts?
Will it all lead to a three dimensional holographic incarnation of a boneyards interface where the struggle for the galaxy can be visualised?

We can have both! Then all people will be happy. Except the ones who dislike seeing both.

Just to note I don't actually care very much, I was just curious.
It'd be interesting if there was some option to say right click on people's names and see their win/loss record though, or have it near the flag. Two stars would just be confusing.

Very nice. It must be very very very very very fun to delete more of my matches thinking it would be very very very accurate.

I've considered just deleting the speedmetal ladder. Wonder who is tampering with the matches, however.

You guys never cared about speedmetal ladder and the ladder seems quite inconsistent and inaccurate.

Agreed on both counts.
