What, you haven't seen the Inktomi bot, or the <gasp> Hotbot bot?

Hell, does Hotbot even exist anymore...? Eeeew, no, I forgot, it was bought by Lycos... lol, ancient history... the URL's still up haha... ah, the good ol' days, when there were a lot of alternative search engines, and the "good one" that actually found things changed every 6 months or so... ah, the good ol' days, where sometimes the porno-spammers would develop a method that would take a whole search engine down for a week...

I was using a Mac, back then, and Hotline, the great granddaddy of all IM and file-transfer suites besides Telnet shells... <ahem>

<moves on to less-dorky subject matter>

Soooo, if you're on a first date with a search engine, what do you not bring? A "the", of course! I crack myself up sometimes...

Argh, if you were a comedian, I would be your drummer. I'm good at recognizing jokes that get less lols than they deserve and inserting random obvious rimshots.

The totally awesome thing about studying computer science at uni is that all your teachers talk JUST LIKE Arhg! Its awesome... I never knew there was a windows 3.11 before today... we skipped it and jumped straight to SUPER ADVANCED 95. I also was taught just how OS's have been "getting faster" with each successive version!

Yes! He did this handy table to demonstrate it all:

Code: Select all

Windows 3.0 - Crashed once every 2 months
Windows 3.1
Windows 3.11
Windows 95
Windows NT?
Windows 98
Windows 2000
Windows ME
Windows XP
Windows Vista - Crashes once every 2 hours
(I didn't write it down, so forgive any order errors)

Wow, windows has really improved its performance. It is now able to handle the task of crashing hundreds of times faster.
Vienna, due in about two years, is expected to include several features that didn't make it into Vista, as well as a new shell that's being developed by the people who created the Ribbon UI for the Microsoft Office 2007 system.
Wow, more shitty UI for everyone. Yippee! I cant wait for Vienna, crashing every 2 minutes, and extracting a beautiful expletive from the user ever 2 seconds. THIS THREAD NEEDS MORE WINDOWS and M$ HATERS AND MORE INANE CAPSLOCK!!!!!!!!111!!1!11!11one!!!

Sorry, I just cannot believe how much I hate windows, and how I have only had the opportunity to use other operating systems for a grand total of less than 48 hours.

I hate m$

Anyway, google always wins, and pretty soon they will be colonizing the moon with google bots (and mars too of course) so we have google moon and mars too, not just google earth.

Some useful links:
google earth
windows vista homepage
ms uno
ms dos
ms tres

oh sh*t now im going to get banned :(

I've been using a XP for three or four years and it has crashed once and that was while I was playing spring and like 200 nuke mines went off at once.

Everyone knows XP sp1 was full of glaring bugs that totally messed up the cycle...
