i am sorry not very good english but u are why mean to me i am not mean to u (((((((((?
He refers to tomboms post also in this thread:
anybody who was/is hyped for spore and honestly expects it to be good is an idiot
Procedurally generated content before was limited to static buildings, textures and star systems, without any user input. Spore is the first game that uses user input to generate textures, animations, geometry on such a big scale.
The only problem I think is that so far I've only seen vehicles that resemble normal vehicles, and virtual creatures that resemble real creatures in the way they move. That is probably where the limitations are that we can't see from a video.
If you truly have no limitations, we should have seen really big creatures with 100 legs and other stuff attached... That certainly would make a better marketing impact than a creature that walks almost like a human.

All I see in that game from watching a number of videos, is a series of mini-games that might be fun the first few times, but incredibly dull after that.
I don't think the fact you can do it with funky looking creatures each time will magically make it interesting.

Wasn't Spore much much colorless before? Looks and sounds like WoW meets SpongeBob on crack in this video.
Also, what's the bulldyke doing there... :P
PS: The whole clip feels like a cheap ad from Apple.
clicky

In earlier videos, it looked like you carefully created and evolved your creature, with deep-reaching consequences for any choice and emergent behaviors stemming from unique aspects of your species.
In this video, it looks like you maek kewl pokemanz olol.

The second image is not spore, for 2 reasons (I know your being saracastic)
1: You can't get flying creatures
2: Spore dosnt look like that, but then again you arn't far off
I personally perferred the originally graphics, although the UI Could of done with a brush up, now, its the graphics needs look a bit more realistic, like in E3

I think that since in spore bacterias are supposed to evolve until galaxy domination, it would be incredible hard to make it if the creatures were so diferent from each other. Like, lets say that in ever stage of the game you could evolve in 10 very diferent ways... that would need 100.000 completly diferent species for the galaxy domination phase... doesnt that sounds too much? :) . Because of that I think that the species will be similar even tough diferent... (Something like: I am a frog and you are a bird, but we both use stuff similar to cars to move around) that doesnt makes me want to play it less tough :)

But wasn't the whole point of Spore that it wasn't based off a pre-programmed tree of evolutionary possibilities, but based on algorithms to dynamically determine what the effects of a certain change or development are within the context of a given system?
If it is tree-based then it's just an expensive, ugly version of SimEarth, ne?

+ the game automatically downloads other players speicies and puts them in your galaxy. Making it somewhat massive 'multi'player. If someone fucks your capital planet in another game, you get a report of how many people decided to ally or destroy your planet.
I look how spore looks now, its more bright and vivid and more lively. The previous or first version looked bleaker without that much color.

Im pretty sure right from the beginning they've been saying that 'multiplayer' wont be synced at all and it will just populate planets with other people's creatures

It's bright, vivid, and lively in the same sense that "Teletubbies" is bright, vivid, and lively.
It needs to be bright, vivid, and lively without looking like it's designed for players with IQs in the 50s.
