are you kidding? ufo isnt teh format of the unit, its teh archive format for OTA, all you have to do is use hpiedit to extract the ufo, gafdump the textures and repack the whole tot into an sd7

I have an idea. I have no knowledge of modding (or programming for that matter), but if someone would like to take this idea and fly with it, that would be just fine. To balance this race all you need to do is make T1 units be T1 base defense i.e. AA vehicle into AA tower, etc. It would have the strongest, fastest and heaviest Tech2 but weak Tech1. Economy is bad and units are expensive. Please comment.

Even that is kind of hard to understand. But it sounds really cool, and would work, if you know how to mod, and it's not hard. ^_^

What programs do you need to mod?

Gimp for image editing. wings is easier to use than max anyway.
