It's amusing because most people when they think of bacon don't think of the necessary dead, shredded, and burned pig, that can incidentally also be created with the use of high explosives.

Meat is animal body parts, in order to get it you have to butcher the animal. The guy in the comic is stupid/lazy so he has concocted a really really bad idea for a method of creating bacon, blow the pig up and bacon will rain from the sky. The preposterousness of his logic, combined with funny imagery, is what makes the comic funny.
