You have time to make a comment, but not the two minutes to make sure your reply is grounded in what was actually said?
I read enough of it to get the general idea.

When I host it's usually

Wait 1-3 hours
Player joins
Player: I'm playing this for the first time
15 minutes later I'm covering half the map with my base while my opponent still hasn't made more than what would fit into the blast of a nuke and I kill him.

Playing with nubs is no fun.

That only happens with mods that are not BA or XTA :)

No, it happens with everything! Just more with unplayed games on the engine, like KDR's specialty, Gundam RTS.

Not saying Spring's community doesn't suck, but it's not as bas as you seem to think. Not that I read everything you wrote, no sane person would try to read that wall of text.
You are one of the impatient tards JJ was ranting about.

I don't care if you were there or not, that attitude is fail.

I'm sorry to hear that JJ, if you can get ahold of any of the good ole EE crowd, we're more than happy to give you a good game...

Frankly, if they are impatient in the lobby before the game starts, kick them deny them any ability to even go as far as watch. thats my attitude. they need to learn, by whatever means nessacary..

No I'm not, I usually host games. Just because I don't read poorly constructed blocks of text does not mean I'm impatient.

Now throwing insults around just based on that, which wasn't even directed at you, now that's being a tard.

To be fair... The page is massive and only one paragraph splitter was used. Not only is it wall of text, but the way it was done makes it really hard to read.

Vets are always saying that the game/community is worse now, in any online game. I think that it just changed, but people in their most dont like changes much and so vets are anyoed with chose changes.

Edit: Just noticed: that happens in all fields of life. Doesnt matter how good things are, people always have the impression it is getting worse...

Back in the old days, when 30 players in the lobby was a record, there was a sense of community and a level of competence that we just don't have anymore. Might be nice to have an old-timer's channel for those of use that remember version .4, the old lobby, and gunships burrowing through terrain. We could lean back in our rocking chairs, play xta with the original low-poly models, and reminisce about that one time we almost beat SJ.

Gunships sometimes do still burrow through terrain.

The more players we have, harder it will be to find the ones we like and avoid the idiots, but isnt this why clans are there for? :)

All, what... one or two of you who are still alive?
