Thanks, amigo. It seems to lead me to a page I can't access, but I'm at work, so...

Bryce3D is pure win; I have to obtain a copy for use on my current rig.

The next thing I'd like to see is the use of lua to purtyfy skyboxes. I wonder, could we possibly do things such as twinkly stars or revolving planets? This sortof fits with time of day lighting suggestion.

I'm making both new FF space maps and refurbishing old old [ancient] ones which have pretty nice terrain, but totally screwed skybox/lighting due to spring version changing [ie, the pseudo space maps which don't use voidwater + skybox].

If you could make some surround skyboxes that are in space, that would be awesome.

I'm trying on my own btw, although I'm not too sure how to make them in the first place.

I think the main problem is that they still have a "horizon", and they give the feeling of an atmosphere that is very transparent to space, not an actual "in space" experience. I'm trying to build a space skybox in Bryce right now, and for some reason the damned horizon still shows.

Also, when void water is turned on, the bottom of the map looks...ugly. I'm personally aiming for something like cosmos, and beyond that I'm trying to find out what's actually possible with lua and maps right now.

I released it long ago. I just used it in those shots to show off the other skyboxes.

A few snow maps, and some more island-suitable skyboxes would be nice. If you don't mind?

The skybox cannot have water on it, if it does it would conflict with the actual water and since the position isn't maintained as you zoom out the horizon line moves. :\. I did use the blue in islands at war for skyboxes and I could possibly put some islands in the distance but it would look terribly campy :\.

What are you needing other then that?
