What are start positions based on? It doesn't seem to be pixels in the map images.
How do you figure out the dimensions of a map for start pos. placement?

move your cursor around the map.. see the numbers in the info box.. take those numbers(elmos) and use that for the position. screenshots are great for this... move cursor over start point.. screen shot and bam you gots nubers

the numbers in the tooltip are pixels not elmos.
To get elmos, (or gamesquares) divide by 8 (the value of the gamesquare macro)). A map quad is 1x1 almos, or 1x1 footprint or 8x8 pixels.

I made one in gimp, just put a few effects and scattered RGB, but yea, if it looked good

Strange ... I don't see any water, but I can build the shipyard
and underwater stuff ? I've just upgraded to a DAMMIT ..

Issue resolved ... settings had to turn off shadows ...

Did you want me to compile it with a certain skybox for you or did you mean one of those might be better for it? The only one I can see is the blue_grid one, unless of course you have a 'space' one.

I made it as dark as I could. Granted, it may show up differently on different video cards, but in all reality when I put much color in it, it looked light and not almost-black.
If you know a way to make it 'murky' and much darker, I'd like to know.
