TI be fair to blizzard freecraft was a free version of warcraft at the time did sell warcraft in the battle chest and no, it isn't dead, they didn't stop the later version of freecraft known as WARGUS. That game requires the wacraftIIcd(s) to install the warcraft II content. I have and play wargus

Is it better than Warcraft II? That game had a lot of room for improvement.

they added a lot of features and since it is lua I have... errr modified things, like selection limit etc. My favorite feature is the split screen option, I use one for my econ the other for my combat.
