Ok. probably not worth making a whole new package for, but since the main thing is space, is there any point in including any AI's at all? Spring isn't all that compatible as a single player game anyway...

RAI and most AIs run in at under 1 Mb. Their utility far outstrips their file size IMO, and it's good to have an AI for training purposes. RAI is nasty in EE.

ok. you're call. I'm not real experienced with AI's. should probably test them more....(I also should have checked the size before i posted I guess)

If the main thing is space, then included all AIs, but no map (beside mines of course).

AI are also the most difficult component to install and get working. So it's good to include working, ready-for-use, AI in any installer. Not to mention the AI-using people are the ones less likely to ask for help online.

Update:

I am going to release a new installer package sometime within the next week. If anyone wants to make suggestions on the maps to be included please tell me. The map list I have thought of at the moment is:
  • Small Supreme Battlefield
    Delta Siege Dry
    Altored Divide
    Comet Catcher Redux
    Tangerine
    Tropical
    Victoria Crater
    Tabula
Just tell me if you have any better ideas for maps.
Also, mod will be BA 5.5, and the AI will probably be KAI unless someone can make a config for NTAI that plays well. I might try.

I will use NSIS for this installer as well.

If there are any questions feel free to ask them.

is this the map list of all the maps being put in the installer? or just the list of the maps that will be added to the previous one?

(Did notice that some are already in the first installer...just asking to clarify)

Imperfect would be nice as well!

Congo: These are the maps I will include in the installer. It is a blank slate.

I will not put metalheck on the package, as I am of the belief that all-metal maps distort new players economic strategies. Red Comet will be included, as will either Adamantine Mountain or Cooper Hill.

I need a good 1v1 map, and maybe a good 2v2 as well. I have pretty much nailed all of the big team maps, and some small ones would help new players a lot.

brazillian battlefield, small divide and cooper hill are nice and small 1v1 maps

Imperfect is a new map which can handle 1v1 or 2v2.

Metalhecks are good metal maps in that they don't have OMG UBER WIND (as in: solars are better) and mex output is pretty low. (And they're small.) Also, they don't have any bottlenecks except in the very corners.

Last but not the least, they're fun!

Imperfect looks ok, but my only problem is that it has no metal spot textures. other than that, it fits the bill for a 1v1/2v2 map perfectly.

1v1 maps list:
  • Cooper Hill
    Adamantine Mountain
    Red Comet
    Imperfect (more than likely.)
I will probably get this done and uploaded by Monday, so if anyone has any more suggestions tell me NOW.

Oh, and RAI 0.55 is out. I am putting that in, unless someone has a competitive NTai config for BA 5.5.

I think you should seriously consider adding metal heck into the package.

Metal maps are after all, a part of ta.

secondly, Metal heck is a very unique map, that even the "pros" like to play on, and its too small to let the newbies just porch in some corner.

[11:48:03] <[WarC]NOiZE> MH is a cool map
[11:48:10] <[WarC]NOiZE> it learns you unique skills imo
[11:48:56] <[WarC]Sleksa> agreed

Ok, which metalheck then? I stuffed up with CC, so I need to know.

Also, I am creating the NSIS script for the package practically as we speak.

Well v1 is the most popular one.

v1 of metalheck is broken, it hs a typemap that gives unit double their speeds which can unbalance units.

Use v2, its just a moderate metal map without a borked typemap, such a rare occurance these days, they usually have 5x speed or speedmetal metal incomes.

Okay, I have the script done, and will upload the script for anyone to check it before I use it. Here it is as a .txt:

Consider swapping one of hunter's T-maps for his own Tabula. Also, SSB v2 has metal in water and better rocks (less metal) - which one are you using?

@imbaczek: SSB v2. v1 is stupid, and tabula has the 'peepee' hills in it. Seems a little immature. I also think that tropical and tangerine look and play better. Tabula will get boring soon.
