Or pigs. Anti-biotics are mixed in the pigs' food so they grow faster. I don't really want to know what products all contain anti-biotics, not to mention the ground water.

I mentioned it cause 13 Monkies is about a ultra-deadly plauge that sweeps through the world and is spread by some modo who gets on a plane that goes around the world.

And it's got time travel, but that's...the whole plot. Really good movie, you should check it out. Confusing as all hell, but awsome anyway.

And yeah...that's what this event is making me think of. Wasn't the death count in 13 Monkies about 5.6 billion?

I copy pasted and tried to google that and it took me too long to realize that not only did you misspell monkeys, but you also got the amount of them wrong.

IMDB for Twelve Monkeys

anyone with a dangerous disease who flees quarantine to go to an AIRPORT of all places, where it could be spread around the whole world in a matter of weeks really does deserve anything thats coming to him, including cutting him open with a jaggad medical tools 'for the good of science' tbh

According to the latest article in the newspaper...

1) Initially, the man was told that he was not a threat to others. He, his father, and a CDC representative had a meeting, which his father (also an attorney) recorded. The CDC representative said that the CDC would "prefer" that the man not fly, but when pressed said that he would not prevent the man from flying, and that he was saying that he would "prefer" that the man not fly to cover himself.

2) The man and his fiancee flew to Greece to get married. They then went to Italy for their honeymoon.

3) The CDC contacted the man and notified him that he had this strain of TB, that he would be prevented from entering the country, and that he should check into an Italian hospital immediately. Now, as someone who lived in Italy for three years, I can attest that for someone with a rare, serious condition that requires immediate specialist care, an Italian hospital is not the best place to be.

4) The man flew back to the United States because he felt that, if he did not get back to the US (and specifically to the hospital in Denver where he is now), he would die of the disease. I think his reasoning was that, when he arrived in the US, the Border Patrol would take custody of him and take him to be treated. However, the Border Patrol phailed at life, and he had to turn himself in.

5) People are now pissed off because someone did exactly what they would do if they were in that situation. Additionally, people like Zoombie overreact and let the stupid out and call for him to be summarily executed. This further illustrates why the amount of respect that Zoombie gets from this community is about three orders of magnitude too high.

Why people still waste time with quarentine? Everone knows that nitroglicerine kills any bacteria.

I am mildly suprised by this reaction.

Seriously, all I do is bum around, don't play Spring, and offer up endless amounts of innane chatter.

And play DnD with the Spring Client. It actually works quite well. And is free.

Felix left out the part where the guy flies to Canada to avoid being stopped by US health officials.

Antibiotics don't stimulate growth
You're thinking of growth hormone, yes antibiotics can be found in animal feed but for different reasons.

You write sci-fi stories.

This somehow gives you a bye for making uninformed, stupid posts. (not just in this thread, I've pointed out this odd phenomenon elsewhere as well)

Let me put it this way. If I had made this thread, it would have been immediately criticized. (Then again, if I had made this thread, it would have been funnier and would have had moar black jesus.)

I don't think the subject matter is all that amusing. And I also write fantasy.

If this were a strange combination of internets and real life I would forcibly take you to 4chan and corrupt you.
