Things that differentiate living tanks from dead ones:

Dead ones stay still
Dead ones don't start blowing stuff up
Dead ones lack health bars
Dead ones don't become icons at distance
Dead ones have holes in them (Wreckage textures etc)

Well, it is the SINGLE smallest land unit in gundam, so I wanted it's team to be obvious, originally it had just the barrel colors for team colors. However, At a distance it would blur and it was hard to tell who's tank is who's. The change was pretty cool though :), however, definitely done so I could lol. If you look ingame though, it still has rust on the paint, dirt etc.
hunterw wrote:i dont think its a good idea because if teamcolor is grey it will look too close to wreckage
yeah... totally like the wreckage(black and grey team btw):

you really should try and look at it ingame before you say unnecessary things.

well lets see, #1 nobody ever plays a game in the view you just took that screenshot in, and #2 it's still not easy to tell. looking at the thumbnail there it doesn't jump out which vehicles are dead and which vehicles belong to the enemy team, and these are things you should be able to notice at a glance.

btw you don't need to take negative feedback as an insult. negative feedback is what i like the best, because that's the feedback that suggests problems and helps things become better. also, just saying what everybody else will say as soon as such a unit makes its way in to a mod - go ahead and quote me on it.

I always play that game in that view, HunterW.

hunter, I do not see it as negative feedback, I am telling you it is EASY to spot. you NEVER play gundam so you wouldn't know. I see it as someone talking without any point of reference or experience.

but here are the BIG CLUES! the corpses are SHINEY and DIRTY they glimer in the light and are dirty as hell. That alone makes it obvious. Then there is the fact that the tanks are grey and with little reflection.

so to recap: grey !=shiney and brown.

Look at them in game. You act as though no one has looked it or thought about it. You state things as these absolutes without ever seeing it. I have never ever heard 1 single complaint that people could not make out the tanks from the corpse. The one I get a complaint about is the xamel, which I admit i was lazy on the corpse.

*edits* seriously "such a unit makes it into a mod?" dude, that unit has been in the project since 1.0.*end edit*

Could you please add somthing into CA that all other mods have been missing..:
FRIKIN ENGINE NOISES!!!

When my tanks come rolling into the enemy base, I WANNA HEAR THEIR MOTORS!!! When my Cans go for a stroll into the enemy Kbot factory, I wanna hear their servos! "WREE, WREE, WREE, WREE"

I don't want this too loud, but if there was a way to make it so when you're right next to the SPEEDING GIGANTIC TANK it isn't totally quiet, I'd be really happy.

Thank you.

Is there a changelog? If there's anything good, I reserve the right to rip it off since you ripped off my entire mod :P (all in good humor chaps, all in good humor)

when the project is put on modweb you can do a comparison to see what has changed from AA to CA. Since the unit names have not changed you should get a concise listing of all stat changes.

no, it is really quite quick, modweb will generate a complete changelog so you can see all that was changed.

Funny how you're praising Smoth's work so, as you continually insult him...

oeet, compaired to the past his current insults do not bother me, I take them as jokes. Let's not drama up the CA thread.

Modeler?

*

What's a modeler?

Could it be THE LEGENDARY subspecies of modders?

Can it possibly be real????

*reality check*

Yes, more quality models / modeler or modeling team would be a very nifty addition, all we got at the moment that goes as far as modeling is a re-texturing boi, and he's away.

Check the liche, janus and banisher.

Check the Surfboat as well.

I like the liche the best.

Do do do do do!

*Yes, this is a cry for help :P - the long-term goal in mind is to have a team that can do everything.

Uh where's my post gone?... :'(

I've seen the texture to it while browsing through the CA site... I have to say that certain parts shouldn't be panels but it looks really good overall.
