yeah felix it would be nice if youd contribute to the conversation instead of trolling zoombie.. kthnxbye..
The smallest Nuclear warhead is likely the Davy Crockett Warhead (W54 warhead) which was about 10 pounds and had a yeild equivilant to about 10 tons of TNT with some later varients having more.. this would be roughly equivilent to say 4x the blast that destroyed the Oklahoma City building in the Oklahoma City Bombing if you will recall, Extrapolating from this information (link:
http://www.answers.com/topic/w54) and assuming its somewhat accurate which it seems to be as its also on the wiki and the search has pictures and other info, Its not hard to imagine that a nuke could be made that is only somewhat larger and would not destroy an entire city.
FYI zoombie NO games that I have ever seen have portrayed ICBMs accurately and I dont think it would be wise to think about nukes in games as ICBMs regardless of how they look.. then again the scale is always off..

The Davy Crochett used radiation to kill AFAIK, had a kill radius of a kilometer or so.

Sorry, just felt a compelling need to point out a painfully obvious fact.
Also, looks like you and KingRaptor did my work for me anyways. Thanks a bunch!

It's the amount of energy when X ton of TNT go boom.

Now I think one of the best skills I have in the internet is a seeming inability to be insulted. Felix, could you tell me what I got wrong?
If I'm wrong, I usually like to fix that. It's embarrasing and annoying.

Muzic wrote:In war, you tend to want to keep the cities in tact for later use to your own wealth. So nuking an entire country will neutrilize it, but now when you go to take your conquered lands you basically have a radioactive garden spanning thousands of miles.
I'll probably go get the C&C demo.
lol thanks you for your wisdoms Sun Tzu

Well Zoombie, based on how Felix is saying KingRaptor made his point for him, and KingRaptor's post actually went directly in support of your post in question (bomb dropped on Hiroshima flattaned virtually all of that large city, and its just a speck next to "Mike" and the "OMG-Want-In-A-Game-Tzar Bomba", which is to say nukes are highly underrated in games...) that Felix must have misread... and that is the best light it can be painted in.

The only game that has semi-accurate nukes would be DefCon. And even that one has some minor errors.

Then do you like Spring? Becuase SupCom and Spring build in similiar ways. Just SupCom has upgradable units. Or a upgradable unit, the Commander unit.

Nukes in Games are almost always silly - a real ICBM Warhead comes in like a Comet - just faster and less visibel- with lots of fake brothers
Would be cool if we had a Radiation effect lingering on after the Impact... for example electrical charching wreckage -or such stuff... as all Mods have bots, and we don`t see the Chancer inside the Peewee, it would be cool to have some dirty-cobalt-bomb workaround :)
How about Grey Goob appearing out of Wreckage after a Nuke hit it ? Nanos could have PhailFunctions too... :)

Not all mods of bots. EE has tanks, and those tanks may or may not be radiation sheilded.

Just imagine if Nukes could melt Glass out of the Sands in one of FAs Deserts, first the cooling of dark Glass. then the ... and Shards and Crystall flying after Artillery or Bombing.. man what a Show would that be.. who needs Tiberium if he has radioactive crystalls after a nuke.. they could even glow at night.. cherenkov blue light for the workx
PS: Zoombeeing - EE Tanks may shield against Alpha and Beta, but will phail anyway against Gama so if there are humans inside, they will be boiled no matter what.. if they are not amphibious deep under water..
Another Thing Spring misses.. a "Vulcano" Weapon/Spell... to seed new Islands to built upon..

says you picasso except that EE takes place in my imagination so I can do whatever I please.. thus making this discussion mute..

Lol, Fanger thats the best responce ever. The GD do use lots of nukes...be kinda silly if they didn't protect their own troops against it.

And I'm pointing to the bunker buster - a mere hundredth or less of the size of the Hiroshima blast - as proof that the "olol teh nookz is all maek city blow upzz!!!11" statement is false.
In a battlefield situation such as the ones modelled by RTS games, you're not going to order a multi-kiloton nuclear strike within mere miles of the front line. That would be stupid (and if you did have the authority to order nuclear strikes of high magnitude, you'd probably be relieved of it soon afterward).
