Let's see...

Starting at the front.. the claws are wrong.

so is the mouth..

the torso is too long

legs are too thin, they are not shaped right.

The gun is too long/needs to be redone

the tail gun is too large... and needs remodeling... same with the tail.

On a large unit like this one that will be very visible you have to get as close to the art as possible. As someone who watched both series and thought about making a zoids mod. I can honestly tell you the current model may look similar at the angles your presented earlier the model is VERY off..

Re working it with this in mind will give you a good idea on what to fix. You will improve because of this. My advice is to dig up every image you can find. Buy books and models have as many references as you can.

For example for my gundam mod, I own over $200 in gundam technical manuals, somewhere around 20+ action figures, 2000+ images pulled from the net.... copies of the 1/100th manuals... blah blah. If you are going to undertake something as well known as zoids do the research.

Sure thing, wasn't final release of course, well, I'm gunna be off for a few hours, then start working on it :P

Edit: Anyways, I may make a zoid mod, of course it will take a lot longer than this one, because it will require more effort, like the Death Stinger, and I can't just think up a unit overnight, I have to use the exact thing...

Ps: Where did you find that image? It is much more refined than all the other ones I found...

Pss: I can kinda push the Death Stinger off of the first few versions, I Haven't got the slightest damn idea what the others counters will be :P

Edit, Again: Damn, that model is the first to look like that.... I see things I didn't see in the other ones....

It will have reload of like 30 seconds, as for balance, but "plasma" is badass overall, and will be freakishly expensive :P

Negative Impulse :P I might try that...

Plasma bots would be good at breaking defenses, but only if they are used sparingly, and at the right level

It makes them get more useless, and not so much of something worth building late game

Ex: Plasma Bot(or something) shoots at Scout doing 150 damage cuz he has 15x bonus, now he tries this against that Heavy battle tank I have pics of, whaddya know 50 damage out of 3k health(err, something like that...), then the plasma bot has to wait a full 30 secs or so....

EDIT: THAT IS NOT FUNNY! SUPREME COMMANDER STOLE ALL OF MY IDEAS FOR ROBOTS! Except the walkers...

snipa, if the heavy tank is going to take less damage in general then you can use the armor tags to set a generalized damage reduction.

Human Commander A spider

The Big block on top launches Rockets, and the weapon a little under fires lasers and the thing on the front of its head uses the nano junk :P It's been chopped up to make easy UV

Note from Snipa: MISSILES Home in, ROCKETS do not!
I can't believe how many times I've seen rockets used as missiles...

Or rockets that homed in :P

Edit: Whoa, a lot of info on missiles and rockets, missiles fins provide them stability but when they turn the missile turns around its center of gravity like a plane does to use its fins and move it in another direction!

Missile is a generic term for a projectile and can apply even to arrows. Rocket refers to the propulsion, a rocket does not necessarily have an explosive payload. Something that homes is a homing missile (although it usually is called by the type of guidance it uses, i.e. laser guided, radar guided or wire guided). Your link there mentions guided rockets.

Edit: My term of way in my mod is gunna be that the rocket and warhead are the only thing in the "missile" so I'll call it a rocket anyway :P

tbh trying to apply any real world terms (military or otherwise) to a fictional game setting is a excersie in pointlessness. Most people don't really know everything there is to no about a subject. Besides TA itself screws up some terminology such as its "All Terrian" units. IRL All Terrain just means it handles well on different surfaces be they road, dirt, or snow. It does not mean that something can climb 90 degree cliffs.

The word Artillery is a real confused term in this (and other) communities. People think Arty has to be; long range, powerful, and inaccurate. I hate to burst the bubble but that isn't completely true. Arty nowadays is pretty damn accurate as shown by strikes against buildings in Baghdad.

In E&E ECM units are abound but many people don't know what ECM stands for (Electronic Counter Measures i.e. jamming and other such systems)

I don't really care what people think, this is futuristic and arty can be accurate as hell but do 10 damage for all I care!

Snipas Terminology (for my mod):

Artillery- Long Range, other details vary!

Missile- A warhead with seeking capabilities

Rocket- A warhead with no seeking capabilities

Oh and PS- I know that already j5, most people aren't on the dot a bunch

The GIMP should have a manual and the alpha stuff is explained in the Spring Wiki.
