I mapped the fusion today and felt like texturing it, so with some help of some decals/greebs from kaiser this is what came out. And yes, in motion the lightning DOES dance around.

After a LOT of screwing around (heh, having 10 sfxpoints gets a lil confusing at some point), this is my final verdict and finished dealie. BTW this doesn't mean that kaiser won't be texturing this, he very well may if he wants to, it's already mapped and stuff, so the will of the master is what goes I guess ;p

It's only 2 megs
Xvid codec, vlc will play it nicely (as well as every other format that you can or can't think of).

Is it okay if I steal the lightning effect for the CA arm Adv. Fusion?

It needs some arcs of lightning in between those prongs

I don't see why not, this changeset should have everything you need. How I did it is pretty self explanatory if you look at the box and the unitdef. If ca doesn't already have one, you'll definately want to grab the empty ceg as it is 100% necessary for things to turn out right.

I'll tell you this though, you won't be able to get actual arcs (well I can think of a few ways it could be done, but those are long and ardous), but as I always say, when you can't get the exact effect you want, fake it!

I seriously need to find some way to syndicate information. Yeah, you're right, all I have to do is copy and paste, but for a halfway decent posting I need more than what I stick in a forum post. :-/
