I don't know if anyone noticed but Spring uses an emission value of 0.5, thus models will be fullbright when turned to the sun. I generally set my material up to the same value so I know what it'll look like ingame.

Argh: thanks for the crits, Sakoth pointed out the low contrast too which i'm gonna remedy (trying not to count on the teamcolour too much), so there's still quite abit more work left to do.

Zsinj: that's coming up next. ;)

rattle: yes, I had to because the model didn't import well to 3dMax, so had to do a fair amount of cleaning up.

smoth: yep, will work on that for the base texture, so the colour and contrast balance will be better when that's done plus teamcolour.

An alien melee thingy I call "chicken". Pretty quick and dirty job. Mostly intended for Sindbad's conventional mod thing.

With a little optimazation I did after I took and uploaded the pic it is now 672 tris not 702, with the exact same geometry.Should I model (as it is) or texture the tracks/wheels? It is not a "spam" unit so I believe a little extra detail is tolarable. What do you think?

At 700 tris, you're absolutely fine. The space between the cab and the front of the launcher is a bit strange though..could you post another view, flat shaded?

It is very acurate to the real thing. Model and blueprint fit very good.

You should set some normals up so it is't fully soft shaded.
In edge mode: Edge hardness -> Soft/Hard edge or object mode => auto-smooth. I usually auto-smooth at 45° and then do the rest manually.
