it's 150 metal, maybe it could need a cost increase. But yeah Porcing aint easy in our mod.

stop going off-topic please, only post if you have anything usefull to say,
thats what this thread is for.
Now, about dt being useless now cuz they get crushed by t2 tanks.
ever considered the fortification walls? (t2)
about the starts Andy, i actually think it speeds up starts alot, especially since youl have a bit more metal at the start, but its still to early to say for sure.
and about t1 arty outranging hlts, i dont see what the problem is.
you can put nanotowers behind the HLT to keep it alive almost indefinitly, you can build slashers to shoot off those pesky slow arty units, or even better rockos, and pretty much anything with decent range its not really imbalanced IMO, (although maybe MAYBE the hlt can use some luvin')

PRO_rANDY wrote:wanted to say i think solars should cost energy
otherwise the build order for any solar map becomes mex mex mex then energy then plant, rushing becomes too easy as u have more metal after ur plant finishes as u got your metals earlier it disrupts the balance between rush/ defensive play
I agree with this point, Solars should technically cost some energy to produce.

In almost all games siege units outrange defenses. It makes sense.
catapults <-> fortress in Age of Empires
Cruisemisslies, Scud, Nuke Cannon <-> Patriot, Stinger, Gatling in Generals
Reaver, Siege Tank, Guardian <-> Cannon, Bunker, SunkenColony in Starcraft
...

about the solars they ARE 141 metal each from the top of my head.
thats more then it used to be, if it really disrupts gameplay as much as you say il consider adding energy costs, but id like if it had some time to see how it works

Well, it's all about the location. :) Start in a very high-metal location, with by far the highest concentration of metal of the entire map (preferably roughly 50%), and focus on getting at least three RFLRPCs up as soon as possible.

(What do you
mean, Phoenix/Hurricane swarm?

)

MrNubyagi wrote:OMG, why do you assume that porcers automatically porc taking just a little slice of the map? Could it be that because you do that yourself and lose?
Dude, chill out man, I was just kidding, there's no way anyone could pull that off without being in the one area with like 75% of all metal and buildable ground on the entire frickin map :)
And yes, I do lose a lot, but I don't porc. At least, I don't consider myself one :) I usually focus on econ at first, and building a decent-ish attack force which'll inevitably get ripped to shreds anyway, I usually build LLTs and missile towers on the edge of my base and a few MTs inside it, but the real defences don't start to go up until my economy is sound :) But, by that time either A.) my teammates have driven the enemy back by half a map or B.) the enemy is waltzing all over my teammates :) I just play slow.

Defensive expanding gets owned by agressive expanding. If you don't atack you lose.
