AA is OKish vs fighters. it shouldn't be 1HITWTFLOLPWNT
AA should NOT instakill fighters
Fighters should not be able to do much damage if any to ground targets
ffs go die in a hole pixel
edit: oh and quanto. go play XTA/OTA for extreme balance issues. AA is supposed to be balanced. and you think a bladewing is more useful than a spider...admittedly the spies are awesome but so are cloaked snipers etc. AA is damn well balanced atm, if only Caydr would ignore noobs or playtest...

Think! If that was the case, why would anyone EVER bother playing core? Each and every game would have hte same bloody outcome!

I'm going to try and keep it short.... anyway, this is not ota, therefore all the balance you are thinking of goes streight out the window. But arm are still raiders, with zippers, fleas, flashes etc. and core still have lot of very heavily armouded slow moving units, such as the can, sumo, golly.....

I dont understand how you can say arm is useless? You'll probably find that over half of all games won are won by an arm player (thats a guess, but using experiance as a guide :p ) <weeps in desperation>

you play a REAL map
with a VARIETY of TERRAIN
and use T1 AA KBOTS
on MOUNTAINS
before getting AA DEFENSES
ETC

Aun, you've made some very good points and I find it difficult to disagree with them, but for me, what it all comes down to is that there are so many changes that get made to this mod that (from my perspective) are all influenced by people who seem to find too much of a challenge in working within the balance layed out by the Original TA, so they all cried to Caydr, "Please, i'm getting raped by flashes! can you nerf them???"

"Arg! Comm bombing is running rampent! Please Caydr, nerf the comm!"


my biggest beef though is the Nerf HLTs, they are supposed to KILL GOLIS DAMNIT!!! maybye not in one shot, or even 8 shots, but at least they did noticable damage. now they barely kill an AK.

I for one want to thank caydr for turning AA into a great mod..

i also want to tell some others (will not say names)

learn the ****** game before you whine about balance!

AA is a great mod.. i dont want it buggered up by some noobs with stupid ideas

Then go play XTA! How can you possibly think that it takes 2 whole shots for an HLT too kill an AK is underpowered? And why should something so cheap to build be able to take out a golly?

news flash: this is spring not TA. Sorry but TA is not the god sent game of balance..it has a ton load of balance issues...so why repeat them in spring? IF you think the current AA is unbalanced then you seriously need to play more.

yeah i think that HLT's should kill gollies, you know they are, roughly the same cost, you know sort of, also AKs should pwn Krogoths and Hurricanes need a boost. did i mention that the DDM should cost 1 metal 8.6e 2 BT and fire pwncaeks of doom?

What are HLTS for then? Forcing level 1 out of the game? Any level 2 unit in even small numbers pwns em. Zues, Cans , gollies, bulldogs. Do you have to rush the vipers and pitbulls to not get overun by level 2 units?

I don't remember that problem... Sure i remember a guy in Boneyards who spammed me with slashers in a GW game, but i owned his ass with light units supported by arty.

People who unit spam are always easily dealt with, Units spammers should never be a good reason to balance a mod, if anything, spamming units is just a learning phase for a player, eventually even spammers learn to stop spamming because of the limited effectiveness in a late game.

The challenge for the player being spammed is to look past the sea of units and exploit the inherent weakness of those units. The problem is that a lot of people lack imagination and tend to assume that the spammer will win every time by shear force of number. And its those unimaginative spam victims that come crying to the modders calling out for a so called "balance".
