Oh oh. US psy-ops have infiltrated and derailed this thread. Patriots please focus 5 minute attention span elsewhere. We will now return you to our regular broadcast.

In other news. I'm both laughing and crying at the first leak related to Australia where apparently our ex-PM (now Foreign Minister) expects our military Poodle to sink it's teeth into the Chinese Rotteweiler should China get "out of line". If I survive I'll let you know how that one turns out.

Why? Is Spring not obscure enough that you feel it should be added to every administration and school blacklist?

On the other hand it's probably the biggest media circus of 2010 - except perhaps Tiger Woods' dick. Maybe we get some sideband PR out of it.

yeah i think there is a positive correlation between likelihood of being interested in spring and liking wikileaks, so we would be reaching our target audience.

What is This discussion about now anyway?Just people posting ,each about his own prefered subject?

#1 Since when is being a patriot bad by default?
being patriotic about some topics might actually be harmfull to you and the country you live in but a lot of the time being patriotic benefits you and the place you live in unless a person is some demanted trotskyist, or something similairly retarded, how can one not agree with this?

#2 Trademrk why are you so fatalistic? killing people with different opinions and the spring moderation are not exactly the same thing are they...

#3 wakawaka? whatchamacallit? gugi gugi?

so optimally, being a patriot makes you come up with something that is good for you/your people/your place, and which in turn is negative for the rest of people on earth, which - no matter which country you are patriotic for - will be at least 6 times as many -> overall gain is negative.
if that thing is not bad for others, it could be applied for everyone instead of only for you, after which it is positive, but not patriotic anymore.
-> patriotism is always bad for humanity as a whole
... which may not be bad in the eyes of a patriot

this way of looking at it goes along with how you talked about it there, and does not necessarily fit into how everyone thinks of "being a patriot".

Agreed
Perhaps Americans should look at their own literature:
Mark Twain wrote:The universal brotherhood of man is our most precious possession.
I thought I'd watch the news while dining, but I can't keep my cool.
American government is spitting on the grave of Tomas Jefferson, among others.
Mark Twain wrote:Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.
Heinlein took this quote a step further. ATM I'm thinking if American government doesn't watch out and stop their panic actions, so will others.

Why can't i load Wikileaks?!! I'm no terrorist!

Nor does genetics tell birds to do a specific mating dance.. or is it learned who fucking knows. Why do I have to have short hair to be taken seriously? Why is it men like big tits/nice asses? No really, what is so great about an ass, you don't even stick your penis in it... well some of us don't.

Saying that people follow trends is like asking why apes clean each other or why dogs bark. You are not at some higher state of philosophical enlightenment. If anything you are in a state of almost teenage like denial about the world around you.

Fact of the matter is each creature will don it's respective yellow shirt to attract a mate or fit in. I cannot remember the bird but there is even a bird species who has a preference for a specific color to it's nest. Each creature can have a set of social interaction. Humans are special because we have sets of behaviors that we elect to display in order to better work as a large pack. It has nothing to do with boo hoo society is made of sheeple or OMG conspiracy to make us think different.

Your world is narrow because you choose to see it that way. People do act like sheeple, they do so when they are lazy and try to have society think for them or care for them. Not even talking about clothes I am talking about people who try to beat the system by having the system feed and clothe them.

Why is it that youre always trying to insult me on every message you send? Now go think why Argh etc wants you out of here...

Yes, genetics can make you feel certain way on certain cases... But how does this has anything to do with group pressure?

Stereotypes and the expectations on certain things, like long hair = girl, or makeup = girl, also has nothing to do with group pressure. But if you start smoking and get lung cancer just so you can get few shitty friends -> equals to group pressure.

PLEASE!
Wikileaks is doing war, cause it does release cables with "malice forethought"... could not read on, but i guess what US does in Irak is peace keeping, because even though that people are actually dieing there in the thousands, the US went there with good forethought.
this comes down to an accusation of though-crime set as equal with commencing war.
"how many fingers am i holding up?"
"i don't know! :-)"
this is pure love!

I was gonna say: People who confuse war with journalism live in a cocoon.
But then I saw where the article comes from. Weird.
But then again, while skimming over it there was a contradiction in almost every paragraph I read. :-)

Also:
Wikileaks is teaching American government Newton's 3rd law. :-)

Please check what a contradiction is... maybe even consider reading the article or backing this huge claim.

Perhaps my claim was a bit hasty, yes. But I read the 1st two paragraphs again.
Why don't you look up some of the definitions of the words used there, and then deicide if it still makes sense.

I'm not telling you to do so. You can do what you want.
Like I will read something else instead of the rest of the article.
