Remember back soon after adding unicode when the text controls in tasclient were very laggy and slow? There was a demonstration you attended where just joining #main2 with the topic set to \n\n\n\n\n etc. locked up the entire lobby for minutes? And you didn't really seem to care?

Nevermind; I just get snippy when programs are changed to do something unexpectedly restricting and it's not mentioned much of anywhere.

Probably vertical tab requires special code to handle, I don't think e.g. standard windows controls can do anything with it. (May just render a square, as they do for \n and \r too, unless they're part of \r\n combo.)

IMO in a lobby it's not unreasonable at all to just strip out all characters below 0x20 (space, 32).

Otherwise I want 0x07 implemented!

On windows, tasclient and springlobby both, they render as newlines. It's just that tasclient now has special code to strip them. Don't think it did much with 07 though. :P

braindamage told me about that char and i replaced it by a space to not allow people to flood crap ... if you want a \n in your topics just add a \n

I'm very annoyed, tasclient keeps opening the teamspeak thing, sometimes I dont need it and close it after tasclient started, but after a few minutes I hear "link engadged",and it starts ts again, this is fail and needs a fix.

Spring Downloader handles TS. Try changing settings there.

sorry Satirik if it was mentioned here already (am too lazy to search):
while hosting BA, there was only me + 3 bots.
when trying to change color of bot 2 or 3, and clicking customize, an error occured (something with a list).
it works when i customize a color on me or the first bot.
(guess the problem is a list that should have 4 entries but has only 2)

error msg:

When I grow the battle frame on the bottom, which shrinks the chat frame on the top, the chat frame scrolls up slightly and will no longer auto scroll. Then I have to go to every channel and scroll down to the bottom. Since I am constantly resizing the frames this way when I switch between looking at chat and battles, this gets tedious. Please fix, thanks.

Yes. But now a different problem.

For several weeks, tasclient would take 5 minutes to load up during the unitsync loading. The other day something was changed so that unitsync loading is nearly instantaneous. But now it seems as though this pause has been pushed over into the point where tasclient launches spring.exe instead, delaying spring launch by 5 minutes and making multiplayer impossible.

Lurker directed me to a program that shows me what happens and it looks like it scans every mod file in my mod folder, including the one uncompressed mod which is very very slow. I remove the uncompressed mod and it is much faster but still not instantaneous since it scans the remaining compressed mods. As such I can't use tasclient at all now and I must use springlobby.

Oh and it also crashes on luaui when I have iceui installed (springlobby does not).

there is some # thing now to open chats in a diffrent screen, but it blocks the right arrow (to scroll the list of open channels)
