It was to the left of the tracks in the technical reference line art BTW, I already moved it to look less silly. Though I don't remember adding the bulk above the left thread, probably Smoth's decision.

I thought you liked the bulk, I can remove it with minimal effort. I just thought it was something you wanted.

I don't mind, it's just a difference between the model and the concept.

Light infantry, 1182 polies minus the gun (its a placeholder for now). Comments & especially constructive crits welcome as its my first time modelling infantry.

I am going to assume since it is "light infantry" they are spammy or numerous ingame, to many ploys for a unit like that. but other wise it looks good.
E: looks like the shoes should be cleaned up a bit, wasted polys.

Thats really good wolf... he's right on the feet you can get away with like a 14 face foot quite easily for something so small.

Nice, very nice, thought that is quite a bit of polies if it is going into Spring.

Don't cut down on the polygons, the model dosn't look like it's wasting polygons much. Rather then spending time on trying to save 50 polygons off that withouth screwing it up, wait for LODs and then make a 100poly model.

Spring can handle it. You shouldnt just waste polygons, but you shouldnt limit yourself too much if the model requires all those polygons...

I think highpoly lag will be a nice break from the pathfinding and netcode lag

We DO already have lua particle lag though...

I'd say, less than 1.2K. GMN, with a couple of simple modifications, it'd work as a replacement for the Assault Shell's current model, I'll take it, if you are willing to give it to me for PURE

Certainly. Polycount was just over 2K if I recall correctly (I'm posting from school, so I can't check)
