The banshee is arm's light gunship, the banisher is the core missile tank.

Yes. People are talking about
Banishers, not
Banshees.
Aren't Banishers balanced by the fact that they can't fire over each other? Surely this means that an assault from multiple directions - so they wind up blocking each others' lines of fire - would work?

I never found banishers much a problem..
Min3, how is Air<Banishers. Banishers cant do anything about aircraft...

If memory serves, they're remarkably effective at picking off Gunships. They're really good at nailing them when they pause at the edge of their side-to-side sweeps.

Gunships are just part of an air force...

What about Strat bombers. Wouldent some strat bombers break up a clump of Banishers?

Banishers are expensive, slow, cant fire over wreckage or each other and constantly bash one another and your other troops with friendly fire, rushing them from a couple of directions with faster units is the way to beat them, Once your units are close the banisher also damages itself with its aoe
they do take out aircraft but their rate of fire is slow and it takes 2 hits to kill a gunship I cant see any problems with the balance of banishers whatsover really.

The Banisher (Core Hvy Rocket tank) is kinda crappy, just like Steve said.
They are pretty ineffective unless they have alot of open area to shoot from, they can't be used in groups as they blast the hell out of friendly units because they try to fire THROUGH as though they have good Line of Sight.
At best they can take down a couple gunships, but Flak is alot more usefull in this role.
If the Rocket flew up like a MERL/Diplomat rocket briefly to gain altitude before trying to strike a target, it might be a completely different story,
but "as is", the Banisher just isn't valuable enough for all of its shortcomings.

Hmm, I always used to use the Banisher like a cheep psudo-golioth. Sort of like a LOSAT in lieu of an actualy MBT, but looking at the costs again I can see I was foolish to do so.

well putting banishers in lines is pretty smart, it should make for a good defence.

Banishers are fine as they are, all they need is a bit of micro to be really effective.

Yeah, as it is they've got one hell of a punch...every few seconds. And of course they need to be microed as has already been mentioned.

could you remove the exploiter and the warrior?
the exploiter really screws gameplay up IMO

NOES it adds gameplay!
Core has to choose, slowly build exploiters which only hold off light raids or expand faster with normal mexxes

yeah exploiters are here to stay, can't say I care much for warriors but some people seem to like them.
