These are the best looking and IMO most appropriate heavy Tanks I found on the UnitUniverse Library.

There are still some there that I didn't list, the M4a1 Campbell, and some other very nice Heavy tanks as well.
Keep in mind that LVL3 tanks don't need to all be KROGOTH class tanks, just like the Mechlab includes a whole range of units from small to the largest units.

If any of these tanks that I posted would be concidered for entry into the LVL3 factory, I'm sure that most will require some weapon adjustments to fit into the ARM/CORE style of units.

Perhaps even a Shielded tank would add some depth and range into one of the units.

Also Keep in mind that SLOPE TOLERANCES need to be increased for these larger Tanks so that they can move around dispite their massive sizes without getting easily stuck.
All these tanks are listed here at http://www.unituniverse.com/

NOT till we reach 1337 posts.

I'm a bit wary of this lvl3 vehicle plant, but I'll reserve judgement till later.

PLEASE NO MORE LEVEL 3 UNITS!!!

I think the only new L3 unit that's realy cried out for is a dedicated mech-killer. Anything else will just replace a L2 unit (eg if you include a superheavy, multiweaponed tank then it'l lreplace the Golioth/Bulldog).

erk...snipers DDM Annis Hurricanes Liches Pyros (best against lower tech mechs but very nasty)...

Yeah but a Krogoth with attached anti-air is a bastard to take down with anything less than massed annies/DDM or a clocked commander.

And yeah I am aware that an equivilent mass of lesser units is technically superior but getting that significant mass to the krogoth in anything other than dribs and drabs is a far harder job than controlling the Krogoth and a few escorts (Say 1 Krog, L2 5-10 Anti-air units and 10+ Combat units to scout and distract).

I don't think we need anymore super-heavy stuff, but the lvl3 vecs could fill a few support roles that lvl3 mechs dont have like mobile heavy anti-air or emp or something.

AND WHY DO CORE metal makers cost 90 energy to make 1 metal

and arm ones only take 80 energy to make 1 metal

Core floating metal makers also only take 80 energy to make 1 metal

Typo?

I saw another unit on URC that looked like a mobile Doomsday. Might be nice as an opposition to the mobile annihilator.

i dont mind lvl3 units included as long they are balanced. This means that in most games we wont see them but its nice to see orcones/krogs from time to time :)

But all in all they are not really needed. Like those new ships AA has, many are never used.

lvl2 subs own ALL water atm, this is nonsense. Even with topedo planes fixed it will still be lvl2 sub + AA ship spam. Make antisub sub MUCH better and thats it (it needs range, homing and damaga against subs).

the point is a lot of L3 units comm in for a pretty cheap price starting @ only 2000 metal....

IMO all l3 units should be way more expensive/powerfull

Because they are the PWN everything units... and you would have to use less strategy to win...

by Machiosabre
well for the krogoth and orcones maybe, but rather like that the weaker ones need strategy to win, otherwise it'd be a different game as soon as you reach lvl3, a really boring game at that.

and thats a good thing!?! you should always need at least a little strategy...

Also, IMO, there needs to be a lvl3 equivalent defense... something better than the Annihilator that can take down a Krog... if the enemy is porcing, and you attack and fail (which will be a problem anyway ;)), there needs to be something that can stop, at least in smaller groups than currently, some lvl3

I think the mobile doomsday idea is pretty awesome for a level 3 vehicle actually :-)

...then maybe some kind of heavy tank armed like a rolling short range bombardment ship 8) - it would carve up swarm attacks and be pretty nasty against big targets like mechs...
