Make em units with a weapon taht does "X" damage to Infantry armour type. With a range of 5, so taht the unit has to be on it.

Its very doable, but Spiked is currently addicted to Oblivion, and has plans to rebuild AATA once he's through with that, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot to be forthcoming anytime soon.

The only problem is that units can't be placed as features on a map, and features can't have weapons.

Isn't there some support for water that does damage? (For something like the acid maps in OTA) Couldn't you use that for the ground under the crystals? Make it very shallow, and make the harvesters immune. (Hover or whatever)

But then CnC maps can't have water!

And if the harvestors did hover, they'd float over all water too

Hehe nice, i'd like to see how it works in final version :)

Are you gonna make C&C style of gameplay too? I mean no con units or anything, only your base can build, and you couldnt build too far from your buildings (dunno is that possible to just mod, or does it need changes in the main engine?).

I'd like to play C&C stylish gameplay version.

No, that would be too much work. I've said before (if you'd fucking read!) that there will be mobile construction units (MCV and Engineers, to be exact) that will be building structures, TA-style. If you want to play a C&C game in C&C style, GO PLAY A C&C GAME!

It's quite possible to make the game play like C&C but I think it would be more fun to have it TA style, when I first played TA it was so refreshing to play it in the way it did, you had so much freedom!

And may I suggest to use the original C&C cursors? they rocked!

Anyway, Spided, i just love what you've done this far! I'm willing to try and remake some C&C maps, are you willing to give us some beta or alpha release?? 8) :lol:

Hmm. I'd have to say I'd rather the game just use big, expensive nanolathe towers (including the start point) as a construction yard. Let the nanotowers build other nanotowers, and have the MCV be a super-expensive vehicle for building new nanotowers. The is just a supernanolathetower. Just have the main "yard" tower and smaller "cranes".

Give Engineers capture only. That's their job.
