Funy thing is,i dont like fantasy novels at all.
How I write a fantasy short story so it doesnt sound like a fantasy short story..
Most of the fantasy I like is either written like a normal story set in a fantastic setting or fantasy set in a modern or futuristic setting... I'd suggest reading the Disk World novels concerning the watch for an example.
Second would be Sci-Fi where the characters don't realize that the magic is actually science, I can't reccomend you read the McCaffery Dragon-Rider Books from a literary standpoint but they do a good job of hiding the "sci-fi" under a veneer of fantasy... on the other hand I CAN reccomend Tim Butcher's Dresden books which are fantasy written like hard-boiled detective novels ("hard-boiled" is a bit of an overstatement)...

definitely one of the best remakes of last years, the only disney movie i really enjoyed watching, original (well, first contact with Tron for me), awesome concept, cool cast and music, OH THIS AWESOME MUSIC.
watching this movie is a must, even if someone doesnt like this genre, i dont think anyone will regret watching it. also the only movie im going to watch in 3D.

i will try out gone baby gone, thanks for the recommend!
the road... i thought the movie was great, and at least you can tell where the dialogue is coming from (never read the book) although the overall pace was quite slow
wombat only likes bronson because it has a longer penis fight scene than eastern promises

but its good in non-phallic ways as well.
dizekat what are you making for us next?

I was a little bored while watching Tron Legacy, but I still think that your game looks cool.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World
This is not the same recommendation as the last time, this is an admonition to watch it again, I have watched it at least 10 times and it's one of those "get's better each time you watch it" movies (my 2 year old likes the music and pretty colours so it's on the rotation of "videos that my daughter will sit and watch that don't make my brain start leaking out my ears" with My Neighbour Totoro, Ponyo, WALL-E, Cars, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissor Hands, Gremlins 2 and my AstroBoy DVDs)

"Sunshine" was a pretty good movie in various ways. Imperfect but well-made and suspenseful and all that sort of thing. Very nice music.
