BTW, to avoid trivializing what's been done so far... I forgot to mention that what y'all are pulling off is pretty awsome... titan units lording over masses of little bitty units, but also being able to control the bitty units and have them construct the huge monolithic units and really be part of the gameplay, setting up mines or whatever...

I thought my lcd had developed a dud pixel for a moment there...
I wasn't intending any titan to have more than a size 6 groundplate. Which would mean scout titans being 4 or 5, super heavies 3 or 4, normal tanks 2 and infantry squads 1/2.
As for the emperor titan, forget it, each foot is a 6x6 ground plate. The Warlord is big enough, I always thought the imperator was taking things to extremes. I remember the first time I actually managed to destroy one of those things in a game of Epic. Think I lost the game anyway as I'd concentrated on that rather than the objectives...

Well Dawn of War got the UP close part great! But it would be really cool if this mod gose to a mass of infanty blasting at others, then zooming out so that you can see the massive army fighting ANOTHER massive army. Then of course, the titan's show up and start cutting swaths through both armys with thousands of guns!

Yeah, Dawn of War is an awesome game. I'd have loved to see some more (greater) daemons and vehicle combat, but titans would have been a bit extreme in that game. That said, the expansion is meant to have a hunt for the imperator, I wonder if it'll actually be useable...
So how do you walk with a triple jointed leg? I wonder if I can find any examples of animation anywhere...

The plot of Winter Assult is to find the missing titan eh? I bet the second to last level is kind of a "Pat on the back" level, cuase you got through the campain all the way to the end, and need a reward. Read: Gives you the keys to the Titan and sends wave after wave after wave of enemy troops at you!

That's just it, the third joint is the longest leg section. I'd swear the person who modelled this titan didn't think about how it actually walks...
So far my attempts have been somewhat awkward looking.

Well,
here's my attempt at the warhound. I'm not going to even pretend that these models are to scale, consider this a baby warhound. I need to decide just how to limit the aiming of both weapons, restricting how far the torso can turn and hence how far each weapon can aim. Also, I've added some ratio corrected build-pics for all three models, so you can now tell them apart in the build menu...
Enjoy!

I planned to add some tags to the units that will be able to restrict how the weapons can aim (basically a centerdir and how far from that it can aim, anything else needed?) so you might not have to worry about doing it in scripts.

Excellent! Can you make it so that we can have more than three weapons too (max ten different weapons ought to do it)?

The warhound is a little small (whitch i expected from your comment) but the tanks are just awsom! Great work!

Guessmyname, I think that Spring already supports more than three weapon tags. Well its supposed to anyway. Im not sure if it actually works though. Just test it out and see.

I don't think it does, because the script doesn't really allow for any referance to weapons past tertiary. Ideally, it would referance Weapon1, Weapon2, Weapon3, Weapon4...ect, but right now it uses Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary.

Tried out the units... they look pretty cool... but I think someone should make a new (probably simple for now so it doesn't detract from the rest of developement) factory for these units... then you could make them huge like you wanted... or possibly have them built like buildings free-standing... I'm not sure if that's possible, but it would make more sense then building an epic sized factory that took up half your building space...

but think how cool massive Titan gantree's would be!

Its a good thing that Spring has no size limit!

Question: How do you edit the Wiki entry for Epic 40K? I don't see any edit links when I view the page and I was going to update it with progress on models. I'm currently working on the Reaver Titan (MKII Lucius pattern).
