i dont care if you dont want to believe in God. I do, and i stand firm in my Christian beliefs. I can be flamed and banned for being a Christian. But do i care? No. I find going to Heaven a priviledge that God has given us because He has given us grace that we dont deserve. So, in short, I'm a Christian and proud.

I find it amusing that the biggest group of Christians I talk to on the internet can be found on a writing website I hang out, which has a Christian and Atheist forums, and Christians regularly post in the Atheist forum and the Atheists also post in the Christian forums and the discussion has always been cordial and pleasant, with lots of jokes and good natured ribbing.

I think it's cause we're all writers AND different religious groups, which means we have more in common then most. But it's still amusing.

Also, one of the regular Christian posters had written 2 published erotica and a loooot of trashy romance.

Jews and islamists have killed people just as well. But saying that Killing is justified when other people are doing it too is just retarded.

The real problem is the dogmatic acceptance of rules. Stalin was an atheïst, but he still killed millions of people.
I think it's ok to believe in a god. I just hate bastards who want to force their religion unto others. That's the reason why "I'd rather go to hell than worship the Christian god". I don't exclude the possibility of there being some kind of good or bad afterlife (although I really, really doubt it), but if I can't get into the good afterlife because I don't believe, then god is a bastard. I'm not afraid to say this, because 1. I seriously doubt there's a god, and 2. If there really is a god, I'm 100% sure he wouldn't discriminate anyone based on beliefs.
Also, I really can't understand how people can be proud of being religious. It's not like you're special because you believe in a god.

You must be kidding... One of the main purposes of a God is for worship. If you were an all powerful God who created everything, or at the very least were thereason for the human race and/or that the universe is still spinning, I much think you would see it very differently.

If somebody can be sent to eternal torment for something done in a tiny amount of time, the God is not just, forgiving or merciful.

Many young/modern religions- The Bahá'í for example...this is not to say that no individual has ever become overzealous and falsely acted in the name of said religion, but there has never been any organized movement of violence within it.

Every major governmental system, religion, philosophy, or people group is responsible for a certain amount of wrongful deaths usually at the hands of their fanatic fringe. Humans have arguably short lifespans. Especially when compared to a god. The point of even having a God is to worship. Whenever you pray to a god that is worship, or do anything that that god requires, it is worship.

Also, you are trying to make a god in human terms,like saying if a human were a god, this is how it should be. Doesn't something about that sound just a wee bit wrong to you? Humans aren't gods, and never will be. Trying to say that a god should use human reasoning is absurd. An all powerful god does not need to be anything like what you think it should be, because it is god, it is all powerful.... I'm sure the thinking patterns would be just a lil bit different... Don't You?
