Well, at least I used the context correctly, I thought it was a serious misspelling of efficiency, lol...

Naturally, Neddie hardly ever makes a mistake while typing. :P

That was a single commando, and it was expensive in micro-time and metal to use.
Damn, I want to see neddie doing more owning as brits :(

I might have been able to break your front-line infantry or break Liche in the same amount of time however. There are enormous costs to using them, whether or not they are effective.

Not really, We were fairly evenly matched. Even without logistics, I couldn't have pushed into you with impunity, and I know neither of us were playing at our best, having seen each of us play better.

Did you stacktrace the crash? (was it lua?)

I failed to do so, I was in a poor state that day. If it is reproduced I will stacktrace.

when I played brits i was just defensive until i had AEC and daimer tech, at which point i spammed them out and hooned around the map at great speed killing everything and owning supplies

Which is funny, because as far as higher level techs go in S44, they benefit the British the least in the light build.

what? AEC never goes out of fashion

However, it can't stand up to the equivalents in the numbers the other sides will deploy. I love using it, but no.

Ièll be quick because i just wrote a long fucking post and it disappeared

1) I didnt suggest nerfing infantry LoS, not at all, I suggested beefing tank LoS and or giving APC Halftrack same LoS as observation infantry in order to give vehicles a boost, because right now they are useless in the attack (the primary function for tanks) as porcing anti-tank guns with observation infantry will ruin them. Atleast with an APC Halftrack giving them LoS boost it can keep up -- but keep in mind, APC Halftracks are incredibly weak and will die from a stray shell so dont go thinking they will pwn.

2) I suggested nerfing Rifle buildtime because of riflespam (being a major user of)

3) I dont know where the MG and Sniper nerf came from, wasnt my idea

4) AEC is OP

4) AEC is OP
YES! daimer too, for its cost. it may not have much HP but its gun means it owns all its equivalents and is much more useful than other light tanks (since light tanks all instagib when hit HP dosnt really matter)

I dont think 2) is a good plan, it plays well now, maybe just slightly ramp up the MG?

halftrack and tank LOS sounds epic win. if AT guns turn round as slowly as i said when i meant it (combat mission style 10 seconds to turn 180 degrees plzkthx) then it would be np :p

AT guns need a tracking nerf, I agree. Possibly some ' redeployment time' also.

AEC needs to be more expensive, Daimler should be the bulk of your armoured car production with a few AEC bundled in for HE / better AP.

(Then again, the brits do need SOME benefits :P )

I like giving the halftrack observer LOS; means that you have to give your tanks LOS backup with them when assaulting, keeps with the basic game concept that you have to mix assault and support troops to be successful, and prevents tanks from becoming S44-Bulldogs.

edit. Had a balance test idea today. As you all know I think that we can't fix any tendency to stalemate unless and until we include the rest of the tech tree i.e. the stalemate-breaking units.

Perhaps we could give one side a couple of its heavy units and a few aircraft to test this theory? We don't have to fill out the buildtree - one heavy tank, one heavy artillery piece, and one bomber or ground attack plane would suffice. I'd suggest the Germans because it seems we already have the heavy tank and (if I've understood past conversations correctly) some planes modeled, and also I like the Germans best. Probably should add in at least one medium AA gun for that side as well. Then, we can test to see if the heavy units eliminate the stalemates or simply prolong them, and base further tweaks on those results.
