Star wars technology just doesn't stand up to star trek technology, mainly because it was never intended to have to deal with the star trek technology at all, which is why Star trek tech pawns star wars, however most star trek ships would crumble once their shields are disabled, and most star trek races cant handle optics based weapons either. Which is why the borg will always come out on top. However every other star trek race would be defeated by the empire save possibly the krenem who would just use their temporal tech to make the imperial empire cease to exist.

So Star wars fleet > Star trek fleet if star trek fleet != borg/krenem. It could also be argued that species 8472 might count but nobody knows enough. And the Q don't use ships so they don't count either.

On a side note you could include replicators perfectly fine, even if a replicator ships was annihilated, its wreckage would be an even bigger threat.

Sci-fi's can't be compared. The settings are different, the technonogies are different. SW technology is not intended to deal with ST, but neither is ST intended to deal with SW. Please don't take it so seriousely, AF. I know you love ST, but I also know that none of the producers on either side would love to see this lunatic debate war.

Star wars and star trek universes are so different, Star wars universe is much smaller and it is almost technologically stalled with a social climate almost at the point of the pirate era of the early western continent discovery. Star trek technology is vastly superior and less stalled, the social climate is also significantly different, much closer to todays social climate.

Well the picture fight was fine untill the borg got into it. I personally was thinking more of robocob and termincator, but thats just me.

It has to do with the retarded nature of the borg, they were designed to be a unbeatable persistant enemy for the TNG, and so they end up thwarting most attempts to reason past them, due to their massive plot armor of shield modulation.. which honestly doesnt make sense but meh..

Do sheilds even do anything against things like...nukes and guns? Its not very clear. Oh thats because it's the USS Make-shit-up.

Actually it depends what type of shielding for which there are thousands of different explanations across the scifi world for a miriad of shield techs and how they work and what they deflect.

But really fang, I did drop the borg, I posted a picture of mr blobby and david dickinson ffs but people keep trying to pull it back to the borg.

And swiftspear was right about ST and SW techs, SW tech only started to move forward again after the clone wars started and the seperatists started work on the great weapon (ironically it came before the deathstar and if it were completed would have the power to blow up planets).
