NOTA doesn't have such problems. Activity goes up and down, sometimes there's no games for a while, but there's plenty of old players who'll join a game when it gets started. NOTA seems more popular than CA these days, but I bet there's more people in the lobby who have played CA before.

Maybe CA is starting to look like it's full of trolls and that's what turns people off.

All the jerks come out to play and give themselves away in this thread.

Otherside gets the honor of being the longest running CA troll (believe me I am proud every time he attacks me). Then Andrej (aka "[2]" aka "SpAmOpReAvErs") who teamkilled me in multiple games comes here and admits his wrongdoings as though it's no big deal. Then Regret joins the fold, our latest troll who starts so much trouble (link, link) in CA that I'm no longer thinking it's just random and he is actually out to disrupt the community.

Otherside, I doubt new players are scared off running and screaming by a window or two on the screen as much as by the likes of your troll crew. Even if the UI is WIP and not perfect, it's much worse to deal with unpleasant people. Good customer service is more important than the quality of the product (no, I'm not saying the quality should be low so don't bother trolling me on it).

At least in BA when people like Regret are part of the community you have 20 other games to go to. CA has one game at a time, if we're lucky.

I'll certainly agree that Car has made some mistakes (like including the non-functional menu in so many versions and leaving all the widgets in the middle of the screen)... but seriously, this pile-on is totally absurd.

Afaik our old long term CA players left spring completely... they are nowhere to be seen anymore..
Before it, only complaint i ever heard was that its too hard to get game started.

So yes, i think problem is that people who want to try it quit it instantly or cannot get it..

So other priority should be fixing package downloader for springlobby..

Thanks Pxtl, but I really don't care what botherside says about me.

I mean it's not like I'm doing this stuff for my health. Why should I bother spending DAYS making a tutorial on how to build a factory and guard it with a constructor? I already have a widget that does it. Why should I make buttons for enabling different map views when I know all the keys? I want new people to have the advantage of knowing things that took me weeks to just even hear about. He is attacking me because he is a hated troll and he has nothing else to hope for except to turn the attention to someone else.

He can scream all he wants. I take a lot more notice when our top devs like Licho or jK are even slightly disagreeing with me over a widget as I highly value their opinions and knowledge

In chronological order the first one is the Comet Catcher Redux replay:
best described as Carrepairer (nick Clogger[CA] at the time) getting nuked by ally (me ofc ^^) 3 minuted before we win the 1+ hour or so long game and RAGING THE FUCK about teamkillers, griefers, game ruined and all :/

Car see we have some trouble here, i downloaded spring 77b3 and
got the svn 3020 of CA then compressed it up. But i am always getting the 'your hash differs blahblah redownload mod' error.
Would you (or anyone that can do it (if you have r3020 upload pls)) be so kind as to provide us with an 'official' build so we can actually watch this?

Surely then after careful replay review i get banned for teamkilling so win/win?

I'm tired of coming back here. Thank you for fully admitting the fact that you're a teamkiller. There's nothing to review as both you and I both concur on the fact that you attacked your ally. Don't post in this thread anymore because you're derailing it. You've already been more than helpful in proving my point (not sarcasm) that we have our share of trolls in our already very small community. I'm not sure why you came back to troll me but I guess you've been lurking long enough to pounce when you saw an opportunity. I won't be trolled in my own forum anymore after this post.

Regret is right. You have what is going on one fuckin hundred widgets for CA, and yet you still fail to resolve some of the longexisting problems... an example would be how fuckin cluttered the game is! you can hardly see the game, there are so many windows!
