It's going to needs some stuff here and there, but is all functional and stuffage. New skin elements will be coming fairly soon. Considering I wrote the skin code for that forum 2 years ago, shouldn't be real hard to remember it.

Edit: Oh fark, I thought I was editing.

Edit2: http://forums.springinfo.info should be working quite soon

Edit3: All of the forums and topics are RSS feed ready, so that may help out here and there with any of the other sites wanting to display forum posts and whatnot.

Yes well these wouldn't be your official ones. Also a sticky at the top would show where the official ones are.

I'd rather not have to keep track of multiple forums. Perhaps allow people to carry over accounts between forums if that's at all possible, but if there's an IW forum, I'd rather have it locked and linked to our forum on our website. Makes it easier for us, and makes it easier for a user looking for the right community.

for accounts between forums you would have to open your db to forb and I. that would also have to come from us and I AM NOT opening up my db.

springinfo is REALLY slow ... tested from different connection in different country ... sometimes it takes more than 30s to show up

If you were looking at the widget database, then that's why. It always takes a bit for the widgetdb to show up because of all the stuff going on in the background. I'll reset the cachetime to be significantly longer.

Edit: Updated the cachemanager and disabled a plugin that may have been causing slowdowns.

That's why I updated the cachemanager just in case.

Also, switching theme to something a bit less heavy.

it has been slow for monthes ... not just hours

edit: and flash on the home page displayed in tasclient is a bad idea since most people won't have the plugin for IE

Don't need it, if flash isn't present it switches over to javascript. There aren't any images for it yet tho, so you should just see a blank image.

Yes I know it's been slow. I've done what I can to speed it up, but I'll yell at dreamhost and see if they can't do something.

They've switched servers for me one before because of this, I don't see why they can't do it again. But let me get the new theme all going and stuff first. Also, with using the new caching plugin (supercache instead of wp-cache) that should help things tremendously.

Please, jsut give me a few hours to get it all sorted out :-)

Alldone :-)

The widgetdb took a bit of a hit in the looks department. That'll be getting sorted out soon.

I dont think its the widgetDb's fault. I am hosting the exact same site and code here http://spring.vsync.de/luaManager/ and its blazing fast. I wanted to ask you if you have an idea whats wrong for a long time ;)

I've been trying to figure it out for a while now. BTW speaking of, I broke the look of the widgetdb, Could you fix it? :-/ sry.

I'm dealing with dreamhost about it.

Speaking of, it's only slow for one person per hour (cause after that it's cached). Still annoying as hell though.

Dreamhost is moving all my sites over to a brand new server on a different cluster (our current server is under extremely heavy load), so slowness should be a thing of the past soon.

Springinfo will prolly be down for a few hours tho.
