Spring RTS Engine

I think a mass advertisement push would be unwise. We need to see what effect the changes we make have on the existing users landing on our site so that we can finetune.

Well, the Community Promotion Initiative was organized for just this purpose.

Spring has 9 "Advertisingneeded" Threads in this Board alone.. i love this endless Todolist Masturbation... but fact is , it is not in our hand, there is a invisible point, were the mouth propaganda takes over...and we don´t know what will tip it... might be a Screenshot or VideoMeme... ARGHs Mod finnished or the BattleTech Mod .. what i care more.. is are we prepared for the storm to come.. do we have emergencyservers, do we have a Website that can survive the Traffic, do we have Moderators in Reserve? Can we handle a Stampede of Exotic Guests.. (What if China makes Spring a Olympic MassCompetition) Is there a Plan B, if Atari realiseses that all those Clicks could be theres..? And do we have all those other little things (including a well drawn magic circle) you need >>>>before<<<<<< you summone the Deamon of Suxxes?


Finally are there enough Addvertising Threads? And could you necr├â┬Âtzi one of the old without the People noticing, if in dire need?

well if spring does ever become a chinese olimpic event by that time the support spring will have will be huge.

If Spring ever does kick of, I can think of about 10 common bugs off the top of my head. Probably over 50 if I actually gave it some thought

is anybody working on the ground decal problem? thi needs to be fixed. other wise noobs will be crashing all over the place and the experienced players will haft to go to all the truble and tell them to set it to 0.

PS: I think Spring needs a HighRes RenderIntro, Cinematic not under 100 Mbs to increase it´s downloadtime spend worth in the Eye of the new Users..

We don't have those things, which is why I closed the CPI work to the main community and ramped down what I was doing. Focus Groups, Surveys, etcetera are pointless when you're not testing what people will receive and you can't publicize in good faith anyway.
