Now I've seen a lot of arguing and proposals for Spring logos here and I'm sick of it, you all fail to realise that it isnt just a logo, this theme would influence this website and forum itself, be seen everywhere even ingame, and yet you seem capable of thinking ooo it's a good diea to have a single artist do some ingame stuff and we can argue the logo out here as if they're nonrelated not to mention some lack of seriousness on behalf of some people, and those who let personal feelings and predjudice get in there way.
I honestly dont see why i make the effort to contribute here soemtimes, knowing that there are those of you who loath em and have no consideration for me at all and wouldnt mind if I died tomorrow, rather they'd like it a lot, so to all of those with pineapples stuck up there asses I say shut the fuck up, if it werent for me a lot of ideas would either have not been thought of and a lot of threads died off, though I admit that I ahve caused problems and that I am not perfect and though I may cause problems and seem offending at times I am sorry for that but at least I admit it, unlike some people who are too busy sniping at me to admit theyr'e wrong
So I propose this theme for spring.
The concept:
You've all been focused on a logo! You need to see the big picture! Spring will be new, a wakeup call to the RTS genre and has great potential. You all seem to ahve focused heavily on strict logo designs, Icant change the proportions or the style and colours wihtout inflicting harm to the design, they're too rigid and all encompasing. I propose that we have the word Spring, in a clear font such as Arial Narrow, verdana or tahoma, which is irrelevant as it will be upto the circumstance not the designer to decide on which is better. And dotn anybody dare critiscise me for saying that about fonts, I know full well what it means and what you will think but it is for the best. We use a general colour scheme by which we recognise it.

We will use those colours as a basis, though we are not restricted to them we use them as a starting point, they are preferential, dominant in the theme.
The word spring is to be placed on a background that follows the principles I set forth.
In any case possible exept thsoe where ti doesnt fit sprign will have a photorealistic background. What that background is, is the likes of a tree in spring on a blue sky with green grass, or a cloud in a blue sky, or a meadow of flowers, rolling hills, a sunny view, skyscrapers seen from below, the ocean, leakes, mountains etc Images symbolic of freshness, new things, future, vibrance, depth. Or a Background of solid colour/colours from the colour scheme above.
From this we have a colour scheme and a general concept. The image of spring is variable thus but will be recognisable. You wont need to replicate a past image perfectly to get the image of spring, ifnact you could create it from a google image and as long s it fitted the concept it wouldnt matter. A logo is much more than an image that looks good, it is changeable, simple in design yet full of depth and changeable to any circumstance, it is recognisable in any form or variation and remembered not simply because it looked good. Lets say we went with one fo aGorms logos, or Neuralises flower pot logo, we would like it at first, oem epople wouldnt liek ti at all, but eventually it would need replacing. This theme doesnt need that. It can be continually changed and edited to fit the times while still retaining the concept and theme set out. Thus the logo is not an image it is a concept, an idea, a thought, and thus it is harder to forget and it will last a long time, and it has depth.
Now I'm expecting a reaction in the form of 2 groups: Those who udnerstand, and those who do not. Those who do not will be that way either because they honestly dont understand or because they refuse to even try, they will critiscise extensively not because they would like to see it changed to suit them but because they want to destroy the idea fo havign a concept as a theme and not a rigid restrictive image devoid of anythign but the smallest amount of meaning, obvious and in your fce and neverchanging, they will snipe at me for it and accuse me of allsorts as if I am a huge threat to the status quo which is the way things work round here for them, I know it will happen, I come to expect it and I am tired of having to argue my way out of it. Constructive criticism, praise or simply an "I dont like it".
