So everyone say hello to eric.
Image
Eric is the first of the western culture models. He migth be a terrorist, a extremist- or just a normal citizen.

Now all we need is another female version.
Some delivey youth.(wmd)
Some elderly. (wmd)
And the game can be played with western cities.

So i arrived at Version 0.811 and would greatly appreciate some feedback.

In particular if anyone would try at the Raid-Mini Game in a Multiplayer match and post the replay link, that would be great.

Have a great week.

So what happens, if you try to cull the graph? Meaning, your operative has recruited people in the city- and now you take it outside the city- and shoot it?

Well, he releases all his knowledge - into a dead drop. He who gets too it first, learns about all this figure has been up to.

And the icon looks like this

Originally had a upload mechanic- you need a satellite to upload gathered data after raiding a safe house.
It was to overcomplicated- so now its gone

Added direct control of operatives.

Means, if you select a single operative with no active commands, it will turn directly towards the mouse, which feels surprisingly action-adventure like.

Currently thinking about addition sound samples for "recruiting" of civilians by agents.

Protagon:

"Think about all those in the city, who would die, for what? For madness and revenge, a weird cult.."
"I know you want your family flown out. We can organize that, but first we need your help.."
"You know what your brother got himself into? Do you want to help him, before its to late?"

Antagon:

"For a 100 years, we just had to take it. Hit in the face, again and again. This is our chance to be left alone ever after.."
"Your whole family was in <noise>.. and now they are here. Bribing there way in.. I know what i would want.."
"Look at what they turned the world into, the smoking ruin.. We could life like kings, if they had not strangled science.."

If anyone has any ideas for additional lines, post them here or write them into IRC.

Also, the modular drone warfare in my game becomes more real every day.

Eyecandy tax: Added additional western civilian models to the game

Thanks Ares,

in other news. I have problems. In particular, a friend of mine tried to play it and the engine crashed, without a real good error.

https://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=6453

So if anyone runs the engine on windows, and could reproduce the crash right after gamestart, that would be great..

I also changed alot around balancewise, atagon now has the choice of three different payload types, but no longer has the full assembly of units.
Thanks for all those still interested in development.

Also congrats to BAR and ZeroK for doing great.

So to increase the dystopain vibes in MOSAIC, i decided we would have BladeRunner style advertising..

So.. im collecting announcements. If you got a good idea, post it...

".. use to neutralize environment caused cancers, before the modern world gets to you.."

".. feeling down? Try uForia, the drug of choice, recommended by the government. Smile.."

".. generational debt to cooperate got you down? Participate in the lottery. Win freedom for your family.."

".. the nature is gone, but in the metaverse it lifes on. Join today, for a VR-Getaway.."

".. tune out the forest fires on the horizon with Armageddon Augmented Reality Lenses.."

".. several holdout Cooperations were taken over by the Mono DAO today. Check your stake.."

".. its a tough world, but your kids will be tougher. Prepare them with RNA-Vectors .."

".. algae ramen are now back in several brand new tastes, after solving the microplastics problem

So the lego system i built for my mechanical units is pretty sweet. So because i couldnt get the neon light shader working, i threw together a unit.

Image

Its a graphene-electrostatic parachute, with a gun and some actuators - and it can be dropped from everything that flies.. rockets, cruise missiles, planes.. and it reuses just cheap standardized parts. And once its empty and landed, it can be collected, reloaded and dropped again..
